"It's not a nightmare-antiutopia": ChatGPT creator invests $115 million in eyeball scanning project.
Worldcoin is a blockchain-based project that scans users' eyeballs to create a "unique digital portrait of a person. The system should help apps distinguish between bots and humans.
Worldcoin has a World app: by scanning the eye at a special center with an Orb device, the person also gets access to a digital wallet.

π I'd like to try it already.

In an interview with the WSJ, Elon was asked a question about artificial intelligence and instead of the usual "end of the world," he spoke out about both possibilities.
"One way to achieve world peace is to take all weapons away from people so they can no longer use them, handing them over to AI, which would prioritize human safety over human incentives."
During the interview, Musk added: "I don't think AI will try to destroy all of humanity, but it could put us under tight control."

π ChatGPT error cost lawyer's career
In a lawsuit against Avianca, plaintiff lawyer Stephen A. Schwartz cited a 15-page document with experts opinion and similar court cases as evidence. Opposing counsel pointed out that "six of the cases presented are fictitious court decisions with fictitious citations and fictitious internal references."
As it turned out, Stephen A. Schwartz used ChatGPT to compile the documents, and the chat bot simply made up realistic but non-existent data. The lawyer noted that he was "unaware of the possibility that the chatbot could generate false content." Steven A. Schwartz is no longer admitted to practice law.
