decades earlier than previously predicted.

Futurist Ben Herzl, a doctor of mathematics, said advanced AI could create its own AI and could be smarter than all of human civilization.
   
The computer scientist, who popularized the term "artificial general intelligence" (AGI), believes that AI is on the verge of an exponential "intelligence explosion."

Ben Herzl made the prediction while closing this month's AGI summit, "It seems quite possible that we could reach human-level AGI in, say, the next three to eight years," he said. 

Once you get to human-level AGI," added Herzl, who is sometimes referred to as the "father of AGI," "you could have radically superhuman AGI in a few years

Anything is possible. Especially when Sam Altman wants to raise 7 trillion bucks to produce AI chips.
