Unlike most video generators, Lumiere generates the entire time duration of a video at once, in a single pass in the model.
The resulting video is of good quality. AI can also borrow a reference picture style to generate the video, animate the part of the picture you select, and there is inpainting. It looks decent, however it is only a research project for now. No models or code in the public domain yet.
