🇺🇸 #Florida. Blue Origin’s New Glenn exploded at Launch Complex 36 during a static fire test attempt. Blue Origin stated that the rocket encountered an "anomaly."

'All personnel have been accounted for and there were no injuries/fatalities. Range officials, in coordination with Blue Origin and appropriate partners, are currently evaluating available data to determine the exact cause of the anomaly.'

The rocket was supposed to launch a batch of satellites for Amazon's Leo network, which competes with Starlink. Amazon stated that the satellites were not yet on the rocket at the time of the explosion.

A buffalo in #Bangladesh nicknamed “Donald Trump” has been spared from sacrifice (Eid) after gaining fame and will instead be cared for at the national zoo.

The buffalo, famous for its blond hair resembling U.S. President Donald Trump’s hairstyle, had drawn huge crowds and online attention before the government intervened. If not for the public outcry, the animal would likely have been killed already.

🇺🇸 A man suspected of being responsible for several bank robberies exchanged gunfire with FBI agents near Lexington and Lawndale on #Chicago’s West Side. The suspect suffered multiple gunshot wounds and is now dead.

The suspect, who’s reported to be a 25-yr-old Arab (Abdullah Fed), was boxed in by Federal Agents during a chase. Agents in S.W.A.T gear surrounded the suspect. They threw flash bangs at the car, that’s when the suspect fired a shot thru the sunroof, FBI Agents began shooting at the vehicle, striking the suspect multiple times. Several others were arrested at the scene.

🇺🇸 A terrifying roller coaster rescue is underway in Galveston, #Texas Thursday. A car became stuck on a vertical track, leaving eight people dangling at the very top of the ride (nearly 100 ft up on the vertical lift hill of the Iron Shark coaster).

Firefighters used a ladder truck for the careful ~4-hour rescue. Exact cause under investigation.

That sounds intense. I wonder how much it costs to run those rescue operations.
