Massive fire breaks out at the historic Oceanside Pier in California about 40 min north of San Diego city.
The fire appears to be at the location of Ruby's Restaurant, a diner which is permanently closed.
Fire fighting boats are on the scene however they are having a very difficult time putting out the fire.
The original pier was build in 1888
The city of Oceanside spent $5.5 million last year to upgrade the 1,954 foot long pier by replacing old pipes and electrical systems.

On April 3rd, a king cobra sought refuge in a storm drain in Perlis, Malaysia, to escape the heat. Members of the Perlis Civil Defence Force captured the snake by hand at the Perlis Port National Youth Technical Institute.
The snake, initially hiding in the drain, was pulled out by its tail, and then its head was dragged out. It tried to attack the officers several times but was eventually subdued when one of the officers firmly grasped its neck.

21-year-old parents charged with murdering their six week old twin daughters in Houston, Texas.
Angelina Belinda Calderon and Fernando Vega’s babies were found malnourished with blunt force injuries.
During a court appearance, Calderon lashed out at the father, claiming she was at work when they died.
“You were the last one with my kids when they f*****g died. You're making me look like I'm a bad person. I was at work when they f*****g died,” she said.
According to the district attorney’s office however, the babies were not properly taken care of despite the blunt force trauma.
“These two children were about six weeks old and appeared to suffer blunt force injuries, severely malnourished and old and new and new injuries on both of the children.”

Manhattan driver chases down a pedestrian by driving on the sidewalk before getting out of his vehicle and getting into a screaming match with the man.
The driver could be seen plowing into trash cans, appearing to try to run over a shirtless man.
After going the wrong way by driving on the sidewalk, the man got out of his car and got into a shouting match with the pedestrian.
"Call the cops! I'm undercover. I'm an undercover PD," the man appeared to say.
It's unclear what exactly started the incident.

Miramar Police released video on Thursday that showed the victim attacked during the parking dispute. At one point, one of the suspects can be seen firing a gun near the victim's head.
The victim told investigators he tried to move around a car that was blocking him but then the men started yelling at him and threw some liquid onto his car, before things got physical.
