The goal of a politician is to survive, not to grow. They grow by surviving.
"The first lie is the hardest. Each one after that comes more easily. Honestly is rarity nowadays.”
Believe in your instincts!
One time, I was sitting with friends when a junior asked about investing in stocks and cryptocurrencies. I advised them that true investment requires substantial time and resources, often yielding mediocre returns. Instead, I recommended investing in themselves: read books, take courses to enhance their job performance, and build a network of relevant professionals. Focus on cultivating a few long-term, committed relationships.
One of the most underrated leadership qualities is attention to detail. This trait is rarely emphasized in leadership books or discussions, yet it plays a crucial role in identifying critical elements that others might overlook. By honing this skill, you can spot opportunities and correct mistakes that have the potential to significantly impact your career trajectory.
“Always aim for high, even seemingly unachievable goals, as the joy lies in the journey rather than the destination. There's no shame in setting ambitious targets, just keep them to yourself. The problem arises not from setting high goals, but from setting low ones and achieving them."
YOU CAN’T BUILD ANYTHING ON A SHAKY GROUND

It’s dangerous to lead the office where everyone agrees with the Leader’s decision, thought, order, etc. One cannot build anything on something, which does not have a strong surface or position. There must be some resistance, which would bring to constructive dialogue and then lead to the right decision.

Peter the Great would never build Saint Petersburg on the swamp. Companies with the resisting accountants and financial directors usually succeed, as it’s difficult to use the money for “wrong” non-entire job related purposes. With “Yes” all the time, the manager would never understand where to stop.

Once again, it is dangerous indeed. Being in a constant obedient and consent surrounding Leader will reach to the point of return and start losing everything: business, respect and everything else, because he will lose the sense of reality and the growing crown of almightiness will make him blind. I think leaders have to get out [from behind their desks],” Dimon said. “They have to get out all the time. They have to be curious, ask a million questions. They’re learning from competitors, they’re learning from clients.
