I remember that when I was the first time in La Paz 1991 - only 1 waterslide at playa El Coromuel at the outskirts of La Paz.
(Some feedback: as one of the moderators/editors/curators on this webpresence here drove down Baja from SoCal first 1989 to CSL with a build/beefed up 1972 GMC Jimmy / second trip 1991 in build '72 Suburban to La Paz - so got some history with the place)
Good morning pacenas y pacenos!
We have a descent day ahead of us in terms of weather as well: T.g.i.F.! 😋
The weekend is here, unfortunately most likely we will have some (serious) rainfall ahead for the coming days brought to us courtesy of hurricane #Norma, according to #NOAA a category 3 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale.
A tropical storm warning is in effect from north of Los Barriles to La Paz!

36 hours of ongoing hurricane #Norma in La Paz and the outcome!.
During that period the strength changed, the impact on population - people and business - not!
La Paz declared disaster zone by the governor of the state, Víctor Castro Cosío (so is the BCS area of CSL)

Hurricane Norma made landfall north of Cabo San Lucas about 1/2 way between CSL and Todos Santos, along Mexico's Baja California Pacific coast, as a Category 1 storm on Saturday, 21.October 2023.
Norma brought heavy rains and strong winds, causing flooding and knocking down trees and power lines in the region.
The state capital La Paz, despite not in direct path while hurricane was crossing the southern part of BCS peninsula got hit severe by outer bands of hurricane with extreme showers and wind.
There is a lot of damage in La Paz which got declared disaster area by government.

Keep that in mind when you clean up.
The length of the mosquito life cycle varies between species and is dependent upon environmental conditions such as temperature and moisture. However, the life cycle of all mosquitoes is comprised of the egg, larval, pupal, and adult stages.
Females mosquitoes extract the blood of hosts in order to develop and nourish eggs.
Most mosquitoes lay their eggs directly in water. Others lay their eggs near bodies of water but not within them.
Almost any source of water found on a homeowner’s property can attract mosquitoes.
Eggs will hatch into larvae within 24 to 48 hours. Mosquitoes are notorious for their involvement in disease transmission, creating annoyance, interfering with outdoor recreation activities, and even ruining a good night’s sleep.
