We will only get a somewhat feasible economy back if we get a handle on the virus.
We only get a handle on the virus if we realize: we are all in that together and only WE ALL can make it out of that situation. https://www.facebook.com/LaPazBajaSurMexico/posts/10159788670693539
Over the last century, successive Mexican governments have struggled to deal with the enormous challenge of inequality.
A series of structural reforms between the 1990s and 2010s later inserted Mexico into the global economy, turning the country into one of the top world manufacturing exporters as well as a growing recipient of foreign investment.
Despite such efforts, the wealth gap remains staggering.
Today, the wealthiest 10% of Mexicans control 43% of the country’s total income, while the poorest 10% hold less than 2%. https://www.americasquarterly.org/article/this-isnt-the-path-to-solving-mexicos-inequality/
Purchases of different vaccines - Mexico, for example, with about 130 million inhabitants, the second most populous country in Latin America, plans to vaccinate 10 million people per month for free, as announced by the president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. His government bought 34 million doses from Pfizer-BioNTech, and that company will take care of keeping them deep-frozen. https://mastodon.online/@LaPazBCS/105361558991675075
Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, known as AMLO, won the presidency in 2018.
He laid out a five-year plan with a call for a “new paradigm” in justice. It was a recognition that neither the police nor the military could snuff out demand for drugs in Mexico itself.
Two years on, the plan seems like a failure. Violence is up. The gangs haven’t been displaced. Other countries have warned against nonessential travel to various Mexican states. https://www.facebook.com/LaPazBajaSurMexico/posts/10159862235318539

Another day looking bad - maybe somewhat better as the past few days yet still: bad!! The new deaths numbers are just staggering!
The pandemic, which has left the country with the fourth-highest death toll worldwide is in deadliest week of the coronavirus pandemic so far.
On Monday, a senior World Health Organization official said the high rate of positive COVID-19 tests in Mexico likely meant the country has been screening too few people. https://mastodon.cloud/@LaPazMexico/105623986431008363
A week ago the mayor of La Paz open the malecon yet the health department disagreed with that decision and closed it again. Now, they decide to reopen it to pedestrians, with the change of the threat level they use with their "traffic light" system. (See graphic below)

In 2017, an assassin used the weapon to shoot dead a prolific Mexican investigative journalist, Miroslava Breach, as she drove her son to school in the city of Chihuahua. - https://mastodon.online/@LaPazBCS/105775293010929230
"The tourism sector is the most affected, and no, we do not like medicine, but we are betting on the rest of the year, that La Paz will lower the infections and we can have a very good summer, already spaced, with time and others waiting for that the vaccine also arrives, that will also help us to have that herd situation, so that more than 60% or 70% of the population is vaccinated or already has the necessary defenses in its system ", said the businessman. https://lapazbcs.xyz/xNUAOd

Dogs in hot cars can suffer from potentially fatal heat stroke in as little as 15 minutes. Dogs die in hot cars as they can overheat very quickly and struggle to cool themselves down, even when a window has been left open or water has been left in the car. https://ello.co/lapazbcs/post/6d30n10qdz5wugl_ssd0qw
If you are planning a vacation in where the sun is your companion and nature the scenery of all those new memories, you're probably thinking of visiting La Paz, the perfect place for nature lovers, especially aquatic settings.
The location of La Paz makes one of the most common ways to get there is by crossing the Baja California Peninsula by ferry from Mazatlán and Topolobampo, Sinaloa, to the port of Pichilingue. https://lapazbcs.xyz/tourism
Kitesurfing at La Paz bay - not necessarily a very popular activity here vs. the kiteboarders spots at El Sargento to La Ventana on the Sea of Cortez / Gulf of California site. Still a nice location. We talked to some of the surfers and they like the less challenging conditions. Sounds perfect for beginners…..https://viva.la-paz-mex.com/post/651395268507516928/kitesurfing
Briefly before sunset time - “official” sunset was at 19:57hr today - a few shots of the Ensenada de La Paz. Unfortunately is the zoom function not overly good on camera used so the further away images somewhat blurry, however, it display what we no like to show: smoking as it should not be from the smokestacks at the termoelectrica Punta Prieta - one of the 2 thermos electric power-plants in La Paz https://social.la-paz-bcs.com/post/651398076173598720/ensenadalapaz
