They have the lead in Europe due to time-frame of #COVID19 spread. So it might be of interest to follow how they manage the situation.
Europe is slowly reopening after weeks of #lockdown and tight restrictions on movement.
Journalists and contributors around Europe look at the possibility of foreign travel this summer and report on the latest developments around borders reopening. - https://www.facebook.com/LaPazBajaSurMexico/posts/10159281348383539
If the guy would be a somewhat honest person ones could say: there is light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately did #AgentOrange aka D. Trump made 18,000 false or misleading claims in 1,170 days (by April 2020/WP Factchecker).

So his Grimm brothers story that he takes hydroxychloroquine despite the US Food and Drug Administration in a safety alert issued on 24 April warned that it had received reports that hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine could have serious side-effects and that the drugs should be taken only under the close supervision of a doctor in a hospital setting or a clinical trial is most likely also a lie. There are a number of side-effects. The most serious is that it can interfere with the rhythm of the heart. - https://social.la-paz-bcs.com/post/618552353568718848/orangutanhydroxychloroquine
At least 500 Cuban health workers are helping tackle the new #coronavirus in Mexico City, Mexican officials say, making it likely the largest contingent the communist-led island has deployed globally as part of its response to the pandemic.
Despite generally strong relations between the two countries, Mexico has not in the past received Cuban doctors partly to avoid diplomatic frictions with Mexico’s neighbor and long time Cuba foe, the United States.
Authorities have acknowledged that Mexico is short of about 6,600 doctors and 23,000 nurses to cope with the epidemic. - https://twitter.com/LaPazBajaSur/status/1263478582791168000

Mexico’s other epidemic: Murdered women! Domestic violence has spiked in Mexico during its coronavirus-related lockdown. According to a national network of women’s shelters, calls for help were up 60% in April.
Even before the pandemic, however, women in Mexico felt under siege. In one of the world’s most violent countries, women are raped, murdered and kidnapped with stunning frequency, and the problem is growing. In 2018, Mexico saw seven femicides – the legal term for the murder of a woman – a day!

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning about a Mexican-made hand sanitizer gel that it said is dangerous because it contains large amounts of poisonous methanol, or wood alcohol.
The FDA said the methanol “can be toxic when absorbed through the skin or ingested,” and recommended consumers dispose of nine brands of gel sanitizers made by Eskbiochem SA de CV.
The FDA said one of the brands contained 81% methanol and no ethyl alcohol, which is the drinkable kind. - https://www.facebook.com/LaPazBajaSurMexico/posts/10159395964188539

Half of virus patients in Baja California hospitals dying. (Baja California = northern half of Baja peninsula). Government data show that out of the 4,760 patients that have been hospitalized with the virus in the state, 2,337 have died, a 49% death rate, the highest in Mexico. The state of Guerrero isn’t far behind at 47%. Countrywide, the average is 36%.
The data also show that Baja California, which is home to Tijuana, San Diego’s sister city, has the country’s second-highest mortality rate per 100,000 people. - https://social.la-paz-bcs.com/post/624165560709742592/bchospitals
Just because we are some 1000 miles away does not make us less vulnerable! Keep that in mind!!
Keep your guards up, wear a face-mask all the time, maintain physical distancing, do not give in or spread any further conspiracy theories and other brain-diarrhea and ride out the storm.
Despite all the negative impact and many people dying: there will come some good out of it at the long run.
For sure it will be not as "before".......

Mexico's COVID-19 response has become the stuff of memes. A popular one making the rounds on social media shows chief epidemiologist Hugo Lopez-Gatell surrounded by a cheering crowd (represented by characters from The Simpsons) and the words "The peak of the pandemic will be next week! (It doesn't matter when you read this tweet)." - https://mastodon.online/@LaPazBCS/104713562798517007
The finalists of this year's Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards have been announced, each one showing the power of anthropomorphism.
A fish that appears to smile, a bear giving a friendly wave from afar and a very grumpy sea turtle - this year's finalists show animals in relatable comedy moments. https://mastodon.online/@LaPazBCS/104863383344809295
Have a good start into the week!
#Streetart is from Maria Joaquina Elementary School at Cangrejo y Estero.
Stay frosty and keep your guards up!
There will be no short-cuts and we will have to live in limbo until a reliable vaccine is available! No if's or but's......
So wear your facemask when in proximity of others
Practice physical distancing when outside of your "bubble"
Wash and sanitize your hands most thoroughly!

It's been already 60 years...... "The Flintstones" was prehistoric by design when it premiered Sept. 30, 1960.
Sixty years later, primetime TV's first animated series seems even older in some ways, surprisingly contemporary in others and still gets callbacks in today's popular culture. https://mastodon.online/@LaPazBCS/104954703592293145
Google is honoring the German history of dachshunds and the dashboard bobblehead figures made in their likeness with an interactive bobblehead Doodle. Literally translating to “wobbling dachshund,” the wackeldackel is a bizarrely iconic piece of German pop culture history, https://mastodon.online/@LaPazBCS/104954708551142001
