π When working with kids changing activities is quite important. I am fond of songs with different movements for these purposes. But some wonderful cards can make the task and the process even easier, more engaging and productive.
My young learners like these three songs very much: 1 2 3
βπ» Before singing a song:
- teach the verbs, play different games to make it easier to comprehend the vocabulary, and try to perform the actions together with kids;
- teach a few animals and play along the way. For example, one child performs an action, and the others have to guess what kind of animal it is (waddle β penguin, thumb the chest β gorilla, etc.). Or, on the contrary, the leader calls the animal, and the group should perform the action that it usually does (gorilla - thumb the chest);
- work out can and can't, Present Simple or Present Continuous.
You can read what to do while and after listening in the FILE.

βοΈ Summer fun!
β± Active games, bright Butterflies, cute Crabs, Driving outside the city, Eating out, Frisbee on green Grass - all these are signs of our most favourite time of the year! And what associations do your students have when they hear "summer"?
π£ Give them 3-5 minutes to write down at least one word for each letter, then divide the students into pairs or mini groups and ask them to share with their partners why they associate exactly these words with this season (e.g. Summer is Football, because I play football every day with my friends).
βοΈP.S. it is not necessary to fill in each line, but the more, the better.

π― Let's play! Tell us, what do you associate summer with?
We start and you continue, each new comment - the next letter.

π Are you planning to watch a cartoon with children/a movie with adults or read a new book? If you donβt have enough time to prepare for the lesson Reading&Watching Prompts and Questions will be a great timesaver for such cases.
π These questions will help students express their opinion or share impressions and emotions about the book theyβve read or the film/cartoon theyβve watched and also assess the characters and their actions.
π How to use:
The teacher asks the students or they take turns to draw the cards and answer the questions. But you can add a little unpredictability. Use a spinner. The children sit in a circle and spin the arrow. Who the arrow is pointing to, answers the next question. The cards are also perfect for discussions in pairs or mini groups with the feedback after it.

π³ Our COOL FISH will help children understand the difficult connections between pronouns and various nouns and, as a result, make fewer mistakes with the forms of the verb to be in the future.
How to use:
π₯ Divide the aquariums between the students and have them "catch" the fish from the lake. Just don't forget to warn the fishermen that the fish can't all live together in one aquarium, otherwise they can eat each other (for example: policeman in "he" aquarium, cat in "it" etc).
π£ You can enliven the process with toy fishing rods with magnets. Attach paper clips to the fish and let them float freely on a blue blanket (or any other thing that could be a pond). The task of fishermen is the same, but this little modification will make the process more fascinating for the players.
