This is like the game equivalent of when you buy a pack of nuts and the packaging reads "Caution: May contain nuts."

this is huge. they're absolutely right when they say heat is the main thing holding pla back. no one gives a shit about corrosion resistance or biodegradable materials, at least for a vast majority of use cases. so long as the UV resistance isn't fucked, which i can't see how it would be, this is probably going to become the new gold standard PLA for functional parts. PLA is a fantastic material, all my prints use it except a select few functional components that happen to need slightly better heat resistance, but if i could do it again i would do it with this. PETG is another fantastic material, but the stringiness and warping hold it back from being an ideal functional material. it's also very hygroscopic which means it bubbles as water in the filament boils during printing. it also sticks like a motherfucker to whatever you print it on. and it tends to bend a lot before snapping, and never really 100% solidifies, so it can wear easily.
but yeah. PLA-HT is going to be really interesting.
