emachines was a cool lineup. it was meant to be reasonably affordable, with specs that were good enough for the average nee computer user of the era. were they great gaming machines? no, not really. but they were good enough. they also had rebates galore apparently, LGR mentioned it in his review.

it would be cool to see something like this now. i can see mid-grade prebuilts with a 30 series and an R7, 16gb or maybe 32gb lower speed DDR5 and a 256gb ssd going for a reasonable price. offer it in comparable intel specs to complete a lineup and you'd be golden. oldfags would remember the emachines brand and flock to it
