boxed onnon ring and pidser, but the sauce was quickly thrown together. it's very easy to pull a dipping sauce out of thin air once you know the basics
so it basically works like this
*every* common dipping sauce is going to be dairy based, almost invariably mayonnaise or sour cream. mayonnaise is better for middling savory foods like fries, chicken, or onion rings. sour cream is more commonly used with mexican or more spicy foods.
you should have something tangy and sour, something with spiced or spicy flavors, and something tomato. for this, it was mayo/valentinas "hot" tomato sauce/pickle brine/bbq sauce. the result is savory, tangy, with just a hint of hot spice and lots of bbq spice. the mayo makes it savory and clingy with good texture, bbq sauce helps counteract the watery texture of pickle brine, and valentinas puts a tomato component in.
