here's a good example of period-correct compositions that sound way newer than they are. Tim Follin had, and still has, a reputation for making the absolute most of whatever sound chip he was given. and then you have sanic and wily wars "beep boop" nonsense

i want to replace my ender 3 with something more advanced/dimensionally accurate/autonomous but i know I'll buy a replacement, run a bunch of parts on it, and then it will sit until i come up with something i want to print in 6 months. such is printing.
...although there's a ton of shit i want to print and i would actually *do* it if i didn't have to dick around with a mothballed ender 3 every time i wanted to crank something out. it goes like this:
>i have something to print
>i have to strip the old humid brittle filament out
>i have to thread the filament in
>i have to relevel the print bed
>i have to dick around checking if the bed is actually level or im just going insane (coin flip usually)
>i have to go through the first print, then figure out how out of size it is and adjust
>anywhere from 5-30 hours later i have my print, before adjustments
or i could set the sumbitch up once and run it with whatever and have it filter the air inside with a decent-good printer, have it be faster, more accurate, and just an easier experience all around. i got my ender at 18yo, it's been a while and i know i like making stuff so maybe i deserve an upgrade
