Trump FBI pick Kash Patel set for Senate confirmation after clearing final procedural hurdle

WASHINGTON — Kash Patel cleared the last procedural vote to be FBI director Thursday morning — with his nomination expected to secure final approval later in the day.

The Senate voted 51-47 to end debate on the Long Island native’s nomination, with Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) breaking ranks and voting with 46 Democrats to filibuster President Trump’s choice.

Trump has said that Patel, 44, will shake up the bureau and attempt to depoliticize decision-making after a series of controversies involving either alleged or proven bias against Republicans.

“I think Kash is going to do great,” Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity in an interview that aired Tuesday. “I think they have to do great or we have a problem. But when you look at what they did, the raid of Mar-a-Lago — you look at what they did, their reputation is shot.”

You might see reports about Zelensky willing to resign, but I’m here to tell you, he never had any say in the matter.

Zelensky is a puppet of CIA/State Dept, and now Trump holds the keys to the castle.

Any talk from Zelensky is purely theater.

Trump and Putin have already decided Zelensky’s fate, and if he refuses, the flow of money and ammunition is shut off, Ukraine will collapse rapidly as their frontlines are already deteriorating consistently, and Putin will take all of Ukraine anyways.

Zelensky has no leverage whatsoever. He is putting on a show to make it seem like he is fighting for Ukraine at the negotiating table, but in reality, Zelensky’s fate is already sealed.

There is no scenario in which Zelensky remains in power.

Epstein files situation:

Rep. Luna asked the DOJ about the Epstein/JFK/RFK/MLK files, and the DOJ essentially said nothing, but they might have dropped us a hint.

Trump’s DOJ mentioned the “integrity of criminal investigations and prosecutions”.

I’m no legal expert, but it sounds like they are trying to say that there are currently ongoing investigations. Of course it could just be legalese or a cover-up as some are suggesting, but maybe there’s a good reason we don’t have the list yet.

Doesn’t it make more sense to have the clients and those involved already investigated and arrested BEFORE releasing the client list to the public?

Wouldn’t the entire investigation and prosecutions be compromised if the list is released before all ducks are in a row? If there are high-profile politicians and figures involved, what does that mean for NATSEC? There are so many variables involved.

Ultimately, I trust Trump and his appointees to carry out their plan. If we are ever going to see justice, we will see it when we see it, and I don’t think us groaning about it on social media is going to change the pace or the outcome of the process.

Did Kash overpromise on releasing the Epstein list on “day 1”? Maybe he did, but that does not mean the sky is falling. Maybe there’s a good reason.

Trump shuts down any possibility of Ukraine ever getting NATO membership.
