π 85% of more than 2,000 retail executives who participated in the survey said that crypto payments would become omnipresent in the next five years, while 75% are already preparing to start accepting payments in crypto or stable coins in the next 24 months.
Retailers have already started heavily investing in building the necessary infrastructure:
π 73% of companies with revenue between $10 to $100 million are investing $100,000 to $1 million, while more than half of large retailers with revenues over $500 million a year spend $1 million or more.
Deloitte predicts that spending on this will only increase in 2022 as 64% of survey participants highlighted that their customers are actively interested in using cryptocurrencies for payments.
Almost half of the respondents believe that the introduction of new payment methods will positively affect customer service and lead to an increase in the customer base, and 40% hope that their brand will be perceived as cutting-edge.
