Russian President Vladimir Putin is open to "negotiations and discussions with the Ukrainian side" regarding a ceasefire. Russia and Ukraine have not held direct talks since early 2022.
⚡️Russia launches mass drone attack on Odesa amid Kyiv's call for civilian infrastructure ceasefire.

The attack targeted a residential building in a densely populated neighborhood, according to local authorities. At least three people were injured.

⚡️ Russian car market faces 50% drop in demand, CEO warns.

The Russian demand for domestically-made cars has dropped by about half, AvtoVaz CEO Maxim Sokolov told journalists on April 21, underscoring the challenges of the Russian automotive industry.

Sokolov, the chief executive of Russia's largest state-owned car manufacturing company, said that AvtoVaz itself is expecting a 33% year-on-year drop in Lada car sales in April.

President Volodymyr Zelensky intends to attend Pope Francis's funeral in the Vatican, presidential advisor Dmytro Lytvyn confirmed in comments to journalists on April 22.

"A visit by the president and the first lady (Olena Zelenska) is planned," Lytvyn said.
⚡️ Russian drone strike on Kherson during funeral injures 4, damages hospital.

A Russian drone attack on a funeral procession in the Kherson city center around noon on April 22 injured four people and damaged a hospital, local authorities said.

The attack on the southern city took place shortly before massive drone attacks against Kharkiv, which have so far injured four people.

⚡️ Update: 1 killed, 22 injured in Russian airstrike on Zaporizhzhia.

The number of injured in a Russian bombing of Zaporizhzhia on April 22 has risen to 22, including three children, Governor Ivan Fedorov reported. A 69-year-old woman was killed.
