Ghana will roll out major passport reforms starting April 28, 2025, to enhance efficiency, security, and user convenience.

Key changes include the introduction of chip-embedded passports, 24-hour passport office operations, courier delivery, and an electronic tracking system.

Passports will now be delivered within 15 working days. Application fees are also expected to drop from GHS500 to GHS350, pending parliamentary approval.
