The Union Government has decided to revise the Base Year for the calculation of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to 2022-23, Consumer Price Index(CPI) to 2024, and Index of Industrial Production (IIP) to 2022-23.

The revised series is poised to improve timeliness, granularity and trustworthiness of India’s official statistics for evidence-based policymaking.

The US and Israel have launched an attack on Iran.

US President Donald Trump has described ongoing "major combat operations" and called for Iranian government forces to lay down their arms.

Earlier, Israel's Defence Minister said Israel had launched a "pre-emptive attack" against Iran, with explosions heard across the country.

This comes after weeks of threats and negotiations over Iran's nuclear programme.

So far, 71 critical mineral blocks (ML-15, CL-56) have been successfully auctioned across 12 states.
