I MISSED OUT ON MEETING STEVEN 🥲 it was today and I- had to be in Indonesia for office viewing 😭

So sad I even paid $300 for it and missed it 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

I’m going to his event but kinda sucks that I missed out on a ton of knowledge today 😢☹️

I still am thinking about what was shared at yesterday’s event.

The Mindset Muscle.

When you deliberately put yourself into discomfort, a tough workout, learning a new skill, having a hard conversation, that part of the brain fires up.

And relating it with neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to rewire itself), (from one of the podcasts of DOAC) it gets stronger over time.

The more you stretch it, the more resilient and adaptable you become.

Discomfort → rewiring → growth.

Where he shares the story of President Theodore going through the Badlands after the passing of his mom and wife and choosing to suffer.
Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change, adapt, and grow by forming new connections between its cells (neurons).

It means your brain isn’t fixed it rewires itself based on what you do, think, and experience.

It is like plastic, constantly reshaping and adapting.

And for me, reflection is where growth takes root. Each reflection strengthens the pathways, turning experiences into wisdom!

Which I spend alot of time doing every day after meetings!

I used to believe in not hiring friends,

Nowadays I believe the best of people are around me. This is also because I’ve changed the circle of friends who surround me.

Bad friends take the job for granted.

Good friends have more to prove and strive for.

I’m also grateful to be able to provide them a good pay that is equivalent if not more to bigger companies as a start up.

It is also due to work we travel together and have new experiences together.

Like touring chinese factories (LCSign) was one of them, and fulfilling their dreams than mine.

We strive for success together and lift each other up, building a culture of our audience’s dreams coming true, my team’s dreams coming true, and lastly, my dream coming true.

Here’s to more successes, more failures, and everything we’ll learn together on the way. ❤️

It’s 2:29am and I remembered something that I wanted to share here..

I was talking about the mindset muscle few days ago, the brain is amazing on how it works and when we know how to utilise it, it works in so many amazing ways..

This incident really shaped me alot as a person, and it is those life changing moments you faced..

Early on in my journey, I explored Indonesia, and the way I network allows me to tap into the country’s top 1% fairly easily, and one of the methods are hanging out in luxury malls.

I was there waiting for my “gojek” and was observing behaviours of people, then I bumped into a very very beautiful lady, I asked whether she owns a business and moving forward she saw my videos before and exchanged contacts and became friends.

So we would catch up whenever I am going to Indonesia to ask how are things as I’m there to explore the market and make friends..

After few months, we dated, and it was lovely and she expressed interest and confessed first. (Shocking)

Then she scheduled a date to come to Singapore and I was going to pick her up except.. she sent a last minute message saying “I can’t make it, I’ll tell you later”

And I thought I was ghosted and thinking it was some kind of act, because that later became 3 days, which what happened was she got into a car accident heading to the airport.

She was warded and spammed me with pictures after.

This is the life changing experience because we were in love before, and after that incident…

She forgot who I was.. and thought that we were just friends..

I couldn’t really process and I kid you not I spent most of the time bawling.. it is insane..

How can one process that?! I showed her previous conversations we had and she is still in disbelief. (Total movie moment)

I flew to Indonesia, the next day, still processing what happened..

Turns out she had a condition called pseudo dementia, and just so you know also, I lost 10 kg, within 3 days.

The state that I was in, is something I’ll never wish for it to happen to even my worst enemies…

I cut the story short mostly, but because of this incident, I bounce back rather easily through every hardship and I’m grateful to have gone through that,

Because nothing will ever bring me to the stage of bawling my eyes for 3 days and losing that amount of weight at such a short time.

This is also the incident where I began to look deeper into amnesia, alzheimers and dementia.

And became fairly interested on the utility of the brain!

I hope to share more of these stories that happened in my journey.

Please support with a like, that goes a long way!

People are always curious on how I meet high net worth individuals and have them advise me occasionally when I face an obstacle..

This could be you! It always helps to have an extra hand when it’s in need.

The core thing relates alot to branding and how I position myself, making them realise there is value in getting to know me!

At the start of my journey, it is really the curiosity and asking great questions. The willingness to learn and being a sponge goes a long way and I’m still like that till today.

As it progresses, and the page grows, we utilise the popularity of the page to meet more people through DMs, and asking for referrals from high quality people.

High quality people give high quality referrals.

We often leverage our brand, the people and lastly the place.

Places like Millennia Walk (SG), Pavillion Mall (KL), and Plaza Indonesia (Indonesia) are filled with golden nuggets, and I used to do my work there to have the energy surrounding me.

The advices they’ve given me is the reason why I’m where I am today.

I hope they see this message and let’s catch up again for old times sake! ❤️🤣

I’m setting up an office in Indonesia, and one piece of advice I keep hearing from entrepreneurs here is:

“It’s about WHO you know.”

Starting out as a delivery rider taught me something important: before building my network, I needed to build my name.

When your work speaks for you, people have a reason to want to know you. Build your name first, and let it open the doors for you.

Another lesson I’ve learned: it’s always more powerful to have someone introduce you to the person you want to meet, rather than introducing yourself (unless your name already speaks for itself). A mutual connection instantly creates trust and makes the conversation warmer.

Here’s my personal account, I’d just share dumps and on a daily basis I reflect a lot 🤣

Mostly like at late night moments where I’m very grateful on how He has helped and shaped me,

For life has been amazing and to enjoy the journey, high ups and not so low downs (pls ive suffered enough already), to a fulfilling and impactful destination ❤️

Hey Koomunity, today we had leadership training.

The picture above is as “startup” as it can get, training conducted in the dining room, where it is also our workspace. 😂

I’ve realised over the 4 years I’ve built skills that is able to comprehend and execute certain information better than my peers,

however receiving all this information did not teach me how to train and develop others..
I’ve always set the goal that I must make everyone in my team achieve their goals,

And it is not like the insurance industry or real estate industry that you have mnc’s resources to tap on … and I have to create all of this by myself…

And I’m grateful to have mentors and trainers I’ve met along the way to advice me how team building is and i’d say that it has been quite some time that I’ve experienced being overloaded with information
To have built myself over the 4 years.. and creating a customised program, to train leaders

And it is a responsibility of mine that their role is to align with their goals, and to train 18 of us..

I think it will make me sharper than ever and I look forward for this phase of life.

My team made me a better leader, and the sense of compassion amplified.. knowing that I will impact them, and then leading a better life for their families ❤️

I hope one day this program can be extended to Koomunity, once it works with the 18 of us, and growing ❤️

I’ve spent about 9,000 SGD to send my team to this specific course, (3 of them)

And it changed their life.

The course is called Psychology of Potential, and whoever I’ve sent to that course, will have a very positive outlook on life after the course..

It teaches important values, foundations, mindfulness and self awareness & alot of reflections for the individual to achieve the breakthroughs and then strive for something more meaningful.

For me, it helped with creating better leaders that learn how to lead with empathy and selflessness.

There’s more to it that I wish I could share, but I couldn’t attend the course due to personal reasons hence why I sent my management team.

Hope to share with everyone soon!

Life’s a roller coaster!

Update! So, September sales dropped significantly, hence addressing inefficiencies in the systems, workflow and pipeline…

The more you know, the more you realise the little you know 🤣😭

Other than sales dropped significantly, training programs, development, culture and clarity, we are gunning for Q4.

Final sprint! We would definitely hit the target set by the accountant BUT pushing for my targets to be hit! Well we are 70% there..

Hectic week and more things upcoming! Super stoked and super fun!
