As some of you may know, we have been discussing switching the Koalas to a Layer 2 chain to mitigate gas fees for the founders as well as the collectors.

This is not something that we take lightly. We've been considering this change and investigating blockchains since November 2023. We needed to find a network that was seamless in the migration and we required it to feel as though no changes have been made.

After much careful planning and consideration, we've decided to migrate to the BASE Network. This chain has proven to be 1-to-1 with Ethereum and is able to handle mass adoption. This is by no means to follow any trends that may or may not be in the market.

The airdrop process is complete! Each Koala has been brought back to their rightful home.

Minting has now re-opened on the Base Network! Take advantage and adopt a Koala for less than 3 cents (on average)
