The fight between undefeated David Benavidez and David Morrell just concluded in Las Vegas, and it was a very tight and spectacular match.

The boxers didn’t hold back, exchanging punches and attacking throughout the fight, but Benavidez was more calculated, constantly working the different levels and overall looking more effective.

In the final moments of the eleventh round, Morrell sent Benavidez to the canvas. He wasn’t shaken and continued the fight, practically charging at Morrell with punches, trapping him in the ropes. However, the bell rang, and the referee rushed to separate the fighters. But Morrell managed to land a solid punch after the bell, for which he was penalized with a point deduction.

The final round saw both fighters exchanging attacks, and the judges scored the bout 115-111 twice and 118-108 in favor of Benavidez.

Interestingly, earlier, Turki Al-Sheikh announced his intention to invite the winner of this fight to Riyadh, where on February 22, Bivol and Beterbiev will face off again for the title of the world’s strongest light heavyweight.
