The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology will hold a virtual matriculation ceremony for all fresh students as scheduled:

KNUST Mid-Semester Examinations will commence on Monday, 23rd February 2026.

Students are strongly advised to complete their Course registration and Biometric verification before the examination period begins.
The KNUST Library Mall & Main Library will now operate until 10:00 PM from Monday, 17th February to Friday, 27th February 2026 in support of academic activities during the Mid-Semester Examinations.

Students are encouraged to make good use of the extended hoursβ€”study smart and give it your best.
All KNUST student should take note, Supplementary exams will not be held for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 Academic year. Wish you all the best in your mid semester exams.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The Academic Board has approved the 2026/2027 Academic Calendar.

As part of measures to revert to the old academic calendar, Supplementary Examinations will not be held for the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 Academic Years.

A special dispensation allows students with up to two (2) trails to add them to their regular semester workload.

We urge full cooperation to ensure a smooth transition.

COURSE AND BIOMETRIC REGISTRATION ENDS TOMORROW.

Management has approved an extension of the deadline for course and biometric registration for students by two weeks.

6th February – 20th February 2026

IMPORTANT NOTICE.

1. Continuing students are required to pay at least 50% of their fees before registering.

2. Students who fail to register within the extension period will be automatically deferred for the 2025/2026 Academic Year.

There will be no further extension.
ATTENTION STUDENTS

From Friday, 20th February to Thursday, 26th February 2026, shuttle services will operate nightly from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am to safeguard students studying late and moving across campus. The buses will be stationed as follows:

β€’Four (4) buses at the Prempeh II Library
β€’Two (2) buses at the Engineering Gate
β€’Two (2) buses at the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (Medical Enclave)

This intervention is to assist students’ movement and respond swiftly to transport and security needs during the exams period.
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST) is inviting members of the university community to submit creative designs for the official logo to mark its 75th anniversary celebrations.

The anniversary will be commemorated under the theme: β€œExcellence to Eminence: 75 Years of KNUST.”
The Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor Rita Akosua Dickson, has initiated a three-day visit to retired professors and administrative staff aged 70 and above, accompanied by the Registrar, Mr. Benjamin Boampong Owusu. This outreach is part of KNUST's tradition of maintaining ties with retired employees, recognizing their contributions to the University's development.

*PROCEDURE FOR REQUESTING FINANCIAL SUPPORT DUE TO LOSS OF PARENT/GUARDIAN*

1. Obtain death certificate or proof of parent/guardian's passing and your proof of financial dependence along with any additional relevant documents (e.g., medical reports or bills of your parent or guardian).

2. Write to the Directorate of Student Affairs (DoSA) explaining your situation including a photocopy of your student ID, contact details and request for financial support.

3. Submit your letter and documents to the Directorate of Student Affairs (DoSA) and follow up to confirm receipt and processing.

4. The Directorate of Student Affairs (DoSA) shall review your application and may request additional information if needed.

5. Approval and support details will be communicated to you.

1. Ensure you are a registered student facing financial difficulties.

2. Contact your College Welfare Committee or SRC Women's Commissioner with proof of need.

3. Get and fill the application form from them or KNUST SRC Women's Commissioner.

4. Submit the form and documents to KNUST SRC Women's office or Directorate of Student Affairs.

5. The committee will review and notify you of their decision.

KNUST Graduation Status
Graduands of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology can check their graduation status through the student portal. Follow the steps below: πŸ‘‡

1️⃣ Visit the Student Portal*
Go to: https://apps.knust.edu.gh

2️⃣ Log in to Your Account*
Enter your:
Username
Student ID Number
Password
After logging in, a congratulatory message will appear at the top of your screen.

3️⃣ Go to the Graduation Section*
Navigate to the Graduation section on the portal.

4️⃣ Confirm Your Details
If you are on the graduation list, you will be required to confirm the following:
1. Arrangement and spelling of your name
2. Programme name
3. Specialization (where applicable)
HOW TO GET YOUR RECEIPT IF YOU PAID ONLINE/MOMO.

To obtain your receipt, follow these steps:

1. Visit pay.knust.edu.gh and log in with your credentials (username & password).
2. Click the arrow on the top-left.
3. Select PAYMENT HISTORY.
4. Click the blue '+' sign.
5. Choose 'View Receipt'.
6. Click 'Print' to print your receipt.
You have 20 days to begin the KNUST 2025/2026 academic year first-semester examinations.
