From next semester, all KNUST students will be required to take a one - credit course in the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (𝗔𝗜).

The initiative, announced by Vice-Chancellor Prof. (𝗠𝗿𝘀.) Rita Akosua Dickson, is part of the universities newly approved AI strategy, aimed at ensuring every student graduates with at least a basic understanding of AI.

Professor Hannah Vivian Osei has been elected as the first female Chair of the Council of Convocation at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.

Prof. Osei brings a research background rooted in organisational behaviour and human capital development. Her scholarship examines how workplace environments shape employee well-being, professional identity, and performance.

Accommodation Alert for Resit Students.

If you’ll be on campus for the Supplementary/Resit Examinations and need a place to stay, please take note:

SRC Hostel will not be available for accommodation during the resit period.

However, GUSSS Hostels are open to students at the following rates:

GHS 15/day – 4 in a room
GHS 20/day – 3 in a room
GHS 30/day – 2 in a room

We’ll share more details on the booking process once available.
Kindly plan ahead to secure your space.

The final timetable for the KNUST 2025 Supplementary Examinations (Resit) has been released for all colleges.
KNUST’s School of Veterinary Medicine will vaccinate campus cats and dogs from November 17, 2025, to January 15, 2026, under the Campus Cat Identity Initiative to promote animal health and responsible pet care.
Applicants to the School of Medicine and Dentistry are hereby informed that KNUST will conduct entrance examinations within one week of the release of WAEC results.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for both the entrance exam and an interview.
