The sign boards on the highways are majorly GREEN in colour.
Why?
Green is considered a tranquil and non-intrusive colour. It doesn't distract drivers and most importantly gives a feeling of calmness

BEFORE SLEEPING KNOW THIS...
Centuries ago, Kerala had a water solution that many modern cities are still struggling to build.
Long before rainwater harvesting became a trend, temple ponds called ambalakulams quietly stored monsoon rain, recharged groundwater, cooled entire neighbourhoods, and created thriving habitats for birds, fish, and aquatic life. They were part of everyday life, not environmental projects.
As cities expanded, many of these ponds disappeared under neglect and concrete. Today, communities across Kerala are restoring them, rediscovering how an ancient tradition had already solved many of today's water and heat challenges.

77,000 people were found dead, alone, in Japan last year...
Yes... many were elderly, and some remained undiscovered for weeks. In one of the world's oldest societies, loneliness has quietly become a national challenge. Japan even appointed a Minister for Loneliness in 2021 as the problem continued to grow.
But an unexpected group stepped in. Yakult Ladies, who deliver probiotic drinks door-to-door, began doing much more than deliveries. They check on seniors, share a smile, have a quick conversation, and notice when something seems wrong. For thousands of elderly people, a daily delivery has become a daily human connection. Sometimes, the smallest knock on the door can make the biggest difference.

In 1901, surgeon Dr. Roswell Park was told to leave an operation because he was urgently needed elsewhere.

He replied, *"I cannot leave... not even for the President of the United States."*

He was then told the waiting patient was President William McKinley.

Dr. Park still didn't leave.

He completed the surgery first, refusing to abandon the patient who had trusted him.

HAPPY DOCTORS DAY
🔍 *Gemini now searches and buys apps in Play Store*

Google integrated Play Store into Gemini, letting users find apps by simply telling the AI what they need. For example, saying "map for travel abroad" prompts Gemini to locate and open the app page directly.

Gemini also enables buying Play gift cards and in-game items right in chat. This feature is limited to personal Google accounts, users 18+, and is rolling out gradually on Android.

One man decided that Agra's scorching 40°C summer shouldn't leave labourers or birds thirsty.

Suyash Jain noticed exhausted workers and birds desperately searching for water. He began serving chilled sharbat to outdoor workers and placing water bowls with bajra across the city for thirsty birds.

His journey of service began during the COVID pandemic, when he helped families with ration kits and connected job seekers with employers.

Taking three bullets to your face... undergoing 28 major surgeries... and then asking only one question: "When can I return to duty?"
That's Major Rishi Rajalakshmi Nair ! 🫡
In 2017, during a counter-terror operation in Kashmir, he entered a terrorist hideout. 3 bullets struck him—one shattering his jaw. Despite his injuries, he refused evacuation until every terrorist was neutralised and every soldier under his command was safe.

He bounced back to active duty and, in 2024, led rescue operations during the Wayanad landslides.
