Utqiagvik in Alaska will now not see NIGHT for the next 84 straight days
And during winter? The same town experiences around 67 days without seeing the Sun at all.
This happens because Earth is tilted at 23.5°. During summer, the Arctic side keeps facing the Sun continuously — creating the famous “Midnight Sun”. During winter, the same region turns away from sunlight completely, creating “Polar Night”.
Our planet is far stranger, more extreme, and more beautiful than most realise.

People laughed at Jasmit Singh Arora and called him “Pagal Sardar” because he spent years collecting discarded mango seeds from roadsides, garbage piles, and markets across Bengal. Many thought he had lost his mind. He travelled village to village, convincing struggling farmers to plant what others treated as waste, even when nobody believed his idea would work.
But one mango seed at a time, he quietly built a movement. Today, India’s “Gutli Man” has helped grow more than 8 lakh fruit trees, creating food, income, shade, and survival for thousands of poor farming families.

She is just 9 years old. Most children her age are busy playing games on a phone. But Shreyovi Mehta from India was lying flat on the ground inside Keoladeo National Park, patiently waiting for the perfect wildlife frame with her father’s camera.
Then came the moment. Two peahens. Golden morning light. Perfect silhouette. One click.
That single photo defeated nearly 60,000 entries from 117 countries and made her runner-up at the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition conducted by the Natural History Museum, London.

Every morning, Rita Rani, just 3 feet tall, climbs onto a bench in her classroom in Dhanawan village.
Not to appear taller—But to be seen, heard, and to inspire!
Born with dwarfism, she faced mockery all her life. But her passion for teaching stood taller than every obstacle

During COVID, Pratik Maharana, the young athlete who once ran on tracks was now delivering food on a bicycle just to survive.
His coach Siba Prasad Mishra(who also coached Indian Olympian Dutee Chand) was shocked to see this.
His coach brought him back to training at Birsa Munda Athletic Stadium. Slowly, the same boy delivering food packets started chasing medals again.
Then came the unbelievable moment: Gold in the U20 200m and selection to represent India at the World Athletics U20 Championships.

In 1971, as war loomed, 28-year-old Sabita Samantaray from a small village in Odisha made a bold decision. When the government called for one civilian per family to join the war effort, she volunteered without hesitation, choosing to shield her aging father from the frontlines.
Despite limited means and raising three children without electricity during wartime curfews, Sabita and her husband donated a day's salary to support the nation. "Even a rupee felt like a weapon," she recalls.

India is called the “Pharmacy of the World.” But for years, medicines worth crores were at risk of waste and damage during transportation because even small temperature changes can spoil vaccines and critical drugs.
India has launched the “Aushadhi Express” the country’s first dedicated refrigerated pharma freight train connecting Hyderabad’s pharma hubs to JNPT Mumbai. So no more wastage of medicines

In 1965, India was fighting a war with Pakistan… and at the same time facing a terrible food crisis. America had stopped wheat shipments. India did not have enough food for its own people.
Then Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri made an emotional appeal:
“Skip one meal a week for the nation.”
And something unbelievable happened.
Hotels shut on Monday evenings. Families across India voluntarily skipped dinner. Restaurants served no food. Rich and poor followed the same rule. There was no social media. No internet. No forcing. Only trust, sacrifice and unity.
