How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
Rest in peace, Ares. You were loved more than you knew.
I will miss you forever.

In Japan, samurai of the Tokugawa feudal house (1603-1867) used cats as living devices to determine the time of day. A cat's pupil has very high light sensitivity β its width can change with the lighting, allowing a specially trained person to quite accurately determine the time by the animal's eyes. And to protect their βclocksβ during battle, Japanese warriors dressed cats in special samurai armor.
