Two Software Engineering students from KIT, Suon Vannputhika and Sopheakvethya Syna from Batch 11, are currently undertaking a 3-month internship in Hiraizumi, Japan, focusing on Digital Transformation (DX) and regional revitalization. Through hands-on projects with local businesses, they’re applying their tech skills in real-world contexts while gaining valuable cross-cultural experience. From developing digital tools for traditional crafts to improving communication, the internship offers both professional growth and personal transformation, highlighting KIT’s commitment to global, practical learning.

The Synergy team from KIT impressed judges with their innovative project called "Octofin", securing second place and winning a prize of 6,000,000 riels from the UnipreneurCamp 2025. The Octofin competes with the 300 students from various universities across Cambodia. Otofin is an interactive, game-based simulation that teaches financial literacy to university students that allowing players to experience real-world scenarios such as budgeting, investing, and managing loans in a fun and risk-free environment through financial challenges.
