Scammers rely on one simple advantage: lack of awareness.
Understanding their playbook is the most powerful tool you have to protect your assets.

Education is prevention.
Recognition is defense.
Preparedness is power.

Below are the most common tactics currently being used against investors — and how to shut them down before damage is done.

How Scammers Operate

1. Impersonating Admins
Scammers will always pretend to be an admin and send unsolicited direct messages offering to “help.”

Admin teams will NEVER DM first. This policy exists to protect the community.

If you receive an unsolicited DM:

• Block the account
• Report the account
• Delete the message

No exceptions.

2. Exploiting Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD) Scammers actively monitor group chats and target investors who express confusion or concern.

They will:
• Escalate fear and urgency
• Claim your assets are at risk
• Direct you to a fake “security” or “recovery” website
• Ask for your secret key or wallet access

These are scam sites.
Once your key is entered, scammers can:

• Access your wallet
• Attach malicious vaults
• Lock you out
• Off-ramp your assets

No legitimate platform will ever ask for your private keys.

3. Targeting New Members
Scammers monitor group activity and immediately target new members who introduce themselves.

They will:
• Offer “onboarding help”
• Pretend to be support staff
• Attempt to move the conversation to private DMs

Always ask questions in the public chat. If you need 1-on-1 support, request permission in chat and you initiate the DM with a verified admin.

Your Defense Strategy
• Never trust unsolicited DMs
• Never share private keys or seed phrases
• Never click unknown links
• Always verify admin identities
• Ask questions publicly

Knowledge is protection.
