Lang'ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor says that he is still a member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), a day after he was expelled by the party's National Executive Committee (NEC).
Speaking during a radio show on Radio 47, the MP maintained that he had not received official communication from his party boss, Raila Odinga, and hence would not leave the party.
"Who has kicked me out of the party? ODM belongs to Raila Odinga and if I have not received communication from him then it means I'm still in ODM," he said.

Kisumu court hears how illegal radio station interfered with aviation frequency
A Kisumu court was told on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, that a local radio station that was shut down for operating without a valid licence was using a frequency that belonged to the aviation industry.
The Communication Authority (CA) engineer who testified against the owner of Max FM said that the radio station was operating within the aeronautical service frequencies, which could endanger the lives of passengers and other airspace users by disrupting the communication between pilots and the control tower.
The owner, Austin John, had applied for a frequency but was rejected by the CA since there was no available frequency in Kisumu area at the time.
He was charged with four counts including establishing a radio station without a valid licence and providing radio broadcasting services without a valid licence.
He denied all the charges and was released on a bond of Ksh100,000.
The case will continue on October 24.

Kinyua Wa Iratu: Notorious Conman Behind Maono Lands Limited — Where Dreams Turn to Nightmares https://youtu.be/dvR6FcX2sfM
Kinyua Wa Iratu, a man whose reputation is anything but honorable, has masterminded a cunning scheme under the guise of his shell company, Maono Lands Limited.
He is a skilled con artist, preying on unsuspecting buyers by selling them utterly worthless plots.
His nefarious enterprise is not confined to the shadows; he boldly advertises on local Kikuyu radio stations, cunningly portraying himself as a devout Christian, with God, he claims, as the “senior-most partner” of his company.
But don’t be fooled; his actions speak volumes to the contrary.
A recent case involves a buyer who purchased land from Maono Lands Limited in August 2021.
Promised a title deed by the year’s end, they instead endured endless delays and excuses from Wairatu throughout 2022.
On December 17th, 2022, the buyer confronted Wairatu at his CBD office, demanding either the title deed or a refund.
Wai Iratu promptly called the police from Kamukunji Police Station, instructing the buyer to meet them there for further discussion.
Before the police, Wa Iratu reluctantly committed to refunding the buyer’s money by January 17th, 2023, a pledge documented in writing, as evidenced by the documents provided to us by the victim.
