πŸ’‘ Bug Bounty Tip β€” CORS Misconfigurations

One of the most common CORS mistakes is weak Origin validation.

Instead of allowing only:

βœ… https://domain.com

Some servers incorrectly use checks like endsWith("domain.com").

This can be bypassed with an Origin such as:

⚠️ domain[.]com[.]attacker[.]com

Result: the browser treats it as trusted β†’ which may lead to data leakage or even account compromise.

πŸ” Always test for:
- Weak origin validation
- Regex mistakes
- Subdomain-based bypasses

πŸ’° I earned a $500 bounty from a CORS misconfiguration 🎯
