ಹೈಬ್ರಿಡ್ varieties ಗಿಡಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು cob ಬರುವ genetic capacity ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.
2️⃣ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಗೊಬ್ಬರ (Fertilizer management)
Basal dose (ಬಿತ್ತನೆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ):
DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) 50 kg/acre
MOP (Potash) 25 kg/acre
Knee height stage (30 days):
Urea 40–50 kg/acre + Zinc Sulphate 5 kg/acre
Tasseling / cob initiation stage (45 days):
Urea 25–30 kg/acre + Boron (Solubor) 1 kg/acre foliar spray
👉 Boron & Potash ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ cob setting ಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಮುಖ್ಯ.
3️⃣ ನೀರಾವರಿ (Irrigation)
Cob formation ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ (40–65 days) ನೀರಿನ ಕೊರತೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ cob ಅರ್ಧವಾಗುತ್ತೆ ಅಥವಾ cob ಬರೋದಿಲ್ಲ.
5–6 ದಿನಕ್ಕೊಮ್ಮೆ ಹಗುರವಾದ ನೀರು ಕೊಡಬೇಕು.
4️⃣ ಕಳೆ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ (Weed management)
ಗಿಡಕ್ಕೆ ಪೋಷಕಾಂಶ compete ಆಗ್ಬಾರ್ದ್ದರಿಂದ Atrazine ಅಥವಾ Pendimethalin pre-emergence spray ಮಾಡ್ಬೇಕು.
