What’s a Gas Fee?

Every move on blockchain — sending ETH, minting NFTs, using DeFi — costs gas, paid in tiny units called gwei. It’s how you pay validators to process your transaction.

The more complex or urgent the task, the higher the fee. Gas = gas limit × gas price — and yes, you can tip to jump the line.
