Good morning everyone ๐๐ฝ
It's Nathan, the Chairperson of the association.
Rumors are being heard and so many things being said about JULSA. Let me give some answer to satisfy everyone's urge for getting the right answers.
1. JULSA, as an association has nothing to do with the student picking process.
2. The human rights club is something that is out of the scope of JULSA.
3. JULSA can't answer your questions because it's not the right person to bring your questions to in the first place. (The association doesn't deserve to be blamed for something that it didn't do)
4. Putting all the blame on JULSA will only cripple the association and lose one good thing that will be beneficial for law students in the future, when it gets stronger.
5. Things, in our association, are as transparent as you saw in the assembly meeting. Those of you who were in the general assembly, I guess, you know that by now. Every thing we did and are planing to do were exhaustively reported and questions were asked, we have tried to answer them and we even took action on some of the questions.
6. Future incidents like this won't happen under the supervision of JULSA. (For matters that fall with in its power)
7. Maybe they weren't conscious of the consequences it could have yet the body that used "subjective" criteria should be answerable (not our law association) and rectify it's mistake for both the list and letting students (not just students, but students who saved from their study, recreation and sleep hours to establish this association FOR FREE) to fall in between the teeth of fellow students.
JULSA has nothing to do with it! The same way JULSA can't be responsible for the decisions that can be made in any other club in the campus, it is not responsible for this neither.
I am not sure if the above 7 points can be an answer for you concerning JULSA having part in this. But I have tried to the best of my knowledge to answer your questions.
We thought it would be better to give an official answer today since everything was tense yesterday.
Have a nice day.

Winston Churchill
British statesman, orator, and author who as prime minister (1940โ45, 1951โ55) rallied the British people during World War II and led his country from the brink of defeat to victory.
Winston Churchill was born in 1874. He became a Member of Parliament (MP) in 1900.
Before World War Two started in 1939, he had warned about the rise of Hitler and the Nazis in Germany.
He became British prime minister in 1940 after then-leader Neville Chamberlain resigned.
Churchill's refusal to surrender to Nazi Germany inspired the country.
Churchill lost power after World War Two ended in 1945.
But he became prime minister again in 1951, before resigning four years later.
Churchillโs history of the First World War appeared in four volumes under the title of The World Crisis (1923-29). His memoirs of the Second World War ran to six volumes (1948-1953/54).
After his retirement from office, Churchill also wrote on " History of the English-speaking Peoples" (4 vols., 1956-58).
Churchill died on 24 January 1965 and was given a state funeral, an honour saved only for kings and queens, and sometimes other people of the highest national importance.
Churchill had also meet with the Ethiopian emperor Haile selase during his exile after Ethiopian was invaded by Italy and also helped him free his county.

Dear 5th year students, you have made it to this day. You passed all the quizzes, mids and final exams to reach this day. You have studied through many nights, refused to sleep, you chose to go to the library instead of watching movies or hanging out with friends. You have sacrificed a lot.
You have studied hard for this big day and even though you might not feel like it, you are prepared!
Guys we wish you all the best on your exam tomorrow! We believe in you guys! Go out there and show them what you got! ๐ช
