Opossums are the oldest animals
They appeared in the Cretaceous Period, when dinosaurs were still roaming the Earth. Surprisingly, they haven't changed at all for this period. Opossums have become renowned for an ingenious defense mechanism. They pretend to be dead while emitting an unpleasant odor. Their eyes glaze over and foam comes out of their mouths.
