Notice it is the surgeons who are the most awake. I think it’s because we don’t have ego invested in continuing to believe this bullshit. We didn’t create it, we didn’t study it after med school much, we just put up with it until we couldn’t anymore. And Surgery decisions that are wrong give you immediately wrong results, so we recognize the problem and are forced to change things in short order. As a result, we tend to be fairly straightforward people. You’re bleeding or you’re not bleeding. That didn’t stop the bleeding. Let’s try something else. But these guys in Medicine have been trying the same thing over and over for 60 years and when someone presents them another idea they dismiss it and call you crazy. I cite my experience trying to discuss parasites and cancer with doctors who are not surgeons.
