Yesterday, Mike suffered a stroke and was taken to the hospital. Due to swelling on his brain, doctors had to perform emergency surgery and remove part of his skull to relieve the pressure.

He is currently in the ICU and will likely remain there for a few days.

You know what… since you’re all telling me yours… let me tell you mine. 😊

People have asked me this a million times in interviews and I always struggle with it. Because choosing a favorite song is like choosing a favorite child. You know? You love them all differently.

But… if I’m being really honest… Childhood. That’s the one. That’s my most honest song. Everything I couldn’t say in an interview… everything I couldn’t explain to the cameras… I put it in that song. It’s just… it’s me. The real me. No choreography. No spectacle. Just a boy who grew up too fast telling the world please… try to understand me before you judge me.

And Heal the World. If someone told me Michael you can only sing one song for the rest of your life… that’s the one. Because that’s not just a song. That’s my prayer. It always was.
Oh and Ben. 😊 I know… I know… a song about a rat. But that little guy was my best friend when I had nobody. And I did it in one take. One. I was so little I had to stand on an apple box to reach the microphone. My name was written on it. Diana Ross has it now.

So yeah. Those three. Today anyway. Ask me tomorrow and I might say something completely different. That’s just how it works with music. It finds you when it needs to. 🎵
