India Strikes Back: 5 Stern Actions Against Pakistan After Pahalgam Terror Attack

India’s Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), chaired by PM Modi, announced a 5-point response to the Pahalgam terror attack. 26 people were killed, including Indian Navy and Intelligence Bureau officers and foreign nationals. The attack was carried out by terrorists linked to Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba.

1. India has suspended the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan, a 1960 water-sharing agreement.

2. The Attari-Wagah border crossing has been closed to all movement, except returnees till May 1.

3. India revoked the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) for all Pakistani nationals.

4. Pakistanis under this scheme have been given 48 hours to leave India.

5. India expelled all Pakistani military advisors in Delhi and will withdraw its own from Islamabad.
