🏀 В Дубне завершили создание баскетбольного кластера
На набережной Волги появилась площадка для баскетбола.
В июле здесь была открыта зона для стритбола. Теперь для всех желающих доступна и основная площадка с современным покрытием, освещением и местами для зрителей.
Пространство также оборудовано двумя кольцами для детей разных возрастов и зоной для разминки.
Новый спортивный объект — подарок ОИЯИ жителям Дубны к 70-летию города. Проект был реализован совместно с Ассоциацией уличного баскетбола.

A basketball court is now available on the Volga embankment.
A streetball area was opened here in July. Now the main court with modern flooring, lighting, and seats for spectators invites visitors as well.
In addition, the space is equipped with two rings for children of different ages and a warm-up area.
The new sports facility is JINR's gift to the Dubna residents for the city's 70th anniversary. The project was implemented jointly with the Street Basketball Association.

В Лаборатории ядерных реакций им. Г. Н. Флёрова завершилось строительство ускорительного комплекса ДЦ-140. 4 августа в ходе пусконаладочных работ на установке специалисты ЛЯР получили первый ускоренный пучок тяжелых ионов криптона.
Новый циклотрон позволит проводить прикладные и фундаментальные исследования в таких областях, как:
🩵 Физика твердого тела и радиационное материаловедение;🩵 Модификация поверхности материалов и создание трековых мембран;🩵 Тестирование электронных компонентов на радиационную стойкость.
Запуск нового комплекса коллектив лаборатории посвящает памяти вице-директора ОИЯИ Сергея Николаевича Дмитриева, внёсшего огромный вклад в развитие прикладных исследований.
The construction of the DC-140 Accelerator Complex finished at the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions. During the facility's commissioning on 4 August, the first accelerated beam of heavy krypton ions was produced.
The new cyclotron will allow conducting applied and fundamental studies in areas such as:
🩵 Solid state physics and radiation materials science;🩵 Surface modification of materials and track membrane creation;🩵 Radiation hardness testing of electronic components.
The laboratory's team dedicated the launch of the new complex to the memory of JINR Vice-Director Sergey Nikolaevich Dmitriev, who greatly contributed to the development of applied research.

На архивном фото — элемент медико-технического комплекса, созданного на базе фазотрона ОИЯИ для исследования методов протонной терапии в онкологии.
Развитие этого направления в ЛЯП началось в 1960-е годы с первых работ по использованию ускоренных протонов в медицине. В 1980-е был создан многокабинный комплекс, включавший медицинские каналы для работы с протонными, нейтронными и π-мезонными пучками.
Физики, инженеры и медики совместно разрабатывали технологии формирования пучков и дозовых полей, открывая новые возможности применения ускорительной техники в лечении онкологических заболеваний.

This archival photo shows an element of the medico-technical complex – a facility for studying proton therapy methods in oncology, built with the JINR phasotron as its core component.
The development this field at DLNP began in the 1960s with the first research into the medical applications of accelerated protons. In the 1980s, a complex with several treatment rooms was created, including medical channels for working with proton, neutron, and π-meson beams.
Physicists, engineers, and physicians collaborated to develop technologies for beam and dose field formation, opening up new opportunities of using accelerator technology in cancer treatment.
The photo was taken by Yuri Tumanov in August 1985
