Hey! Just a note about Swiftfin (iOS/tvOS). You may be wondering - the beta is full, how do I get in?

The beta has hit its maximum of 10,000 external users, and we can't keep up with manual removal of inactive users to open up slots. As a result, we're preparing it to be published to the App Store (even in an "Early Access/Beta" state), so that everyone gets a chance to use it.

We appreciate your patience with this and I'll post again to let everyone know when it's available.
From Joshua:
Another month another hotfix! Just in time for our 4-year anniversary. 🎉

This fixes 3 small lingering bugs from the 10.8.z series and is likely (as I keep saying each time 😅) the last release in the 10.8.z series before we focus on 10.9.0.

Our Roku channel has been updated! Check out the post from our very own tgpo on Reddit: https://reddit.com/r/jellyfin/comments/zly29m/jellyfin_for_roku_162_released/
Just following up on this for a few more people - make sure your server is up to date! The new Roku channel update, like some of our other clients, now requires a minimum server version of 10.8.1. The latest version is 10.8.8, so update if you can!
Our Android TV app has been updated! Version 0.15.0 is out. Google already has the update on the Play Store, but Amazon typically takes longer to approve the app. Read the news from our Android TV lead Niels on our blog: https://jellyfin.org/posts/2022/12/24/android-tv-15/

Hey all! If this is your first time around here, thanks for joining us! We're happy to meet you and hope we can be a useful alternative.

If you've been using Jellyfin for a while, thank you as well! We use it too, and that's why we keep working on it.

On that note, with all our increased traffic (what little stats we have say there has been more than double the amount of users year over year), we've made a change to our donation system: https://reddit.com/r/jellyfin/comments/10pe5pd/a_quick_note_change_to_our_donation_policy/
Jellyfin has decided to retire our Telegram group chat. This announcement channel will remain open for sharing important news, just like we normally do on Matrix, Discord, Mastodon, Reddit, and Twitter.

If you need to get in touch with us or ask for help/share with the community, we invite you to reach out on any of those platforms. Links and more are available on our website: https://jellyfin.org/contact
Jellyfin for Roku 1.6.4 has been released!

Big thanks to our Roku team for pushing forward with it. Note that the minimum required server version is 10.8.1, but using the latest is always recommended.
