Looks like the co-founder of the tech business, Twilio, may have bought “The Onion,” one of the most popular satire (joke) sites.
Too early to say BUT — if it’s true, expect some epic trolling before too long. Lawson was recently forced out of his business by “activist investors”, Twilio’s stock is down 16% then. He might have gone as far as to buy “The Onion” to troll Silicon Valley!

TSA Visited Apple and Google To Discuss Collaboration for Digital ID
The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is continuing collaboration with Big Tech concerning the use of biometric surveillance technology, but also the development of digital IDs for passengers.
On its site, the TSA revealed that its officials traveled to California recently where they met with representatives of Apple and Google to talk about continuing work on implementing digital ID on people’s phones.
The TSA delegation to Silicon Valley, led by Administrator David Pekoske, referred to Apple and Google as their “innovation partners.” The goal is to continue with yet another example of “public-private” aka, government-Big Tech “partnership.”
This one seems to be happening fully in the open and at least TSA is enthusiastic about talking about it, and spelling it out: “TSA is working with the tech giants so passengers can identify themselves with IDs stored on their phones at airports,” said the agency post.
As for those private companies, Google explained that the “collaboration” in question has to do with Google Wallet, and the ability to store a government ID in the app to allow TSA PreCheck “in select airports.”

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we're so grateful for the wisdom in Your perfect Word. Thank You for loving us enough to send Your only begotten Son to free us from sin and bring us back to You. His teachings and examples show us the way to live.
We pray that You help us to apply the lessons from Christ's life and ministry. May we overflow with the fruit of Your Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control. Transform our hearts and minds day by day to become more like Him.
Give us strength, Lord. Open our hearts to receive Your wisdom. Guide us to live it out, letting it shape our choices, character, and conduct.
We rejoice in the mercy and grace you freely give through Jesus' sacrifice. May His truth be known and felt deep into our hearts and lives, so we can walk confidently as Your beloved children.
We pray this in the Holy name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Since 2021, the Jeff.pro channel has been empowering Americans to reclaim their digital sovereignty by teaching them how to transition from proprietary "big tech" operating systems like Microsoft Windows or MacOS to Free and Open Source Linux. By embracing the Linux operating system, individuals can liberate themselves from corporate control and surveillance over their computing devices.
The Jeff.pro channel recognizes the growing concern among citizens about the erosion of online privacy and the monopolistic practices of technology giants. Through its unique Linux for Beginners ongoing educational course, this channel equips individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to break free from the grip of these “big tech” companies and regain control over their digital lives.
By adopting Linux, users can enjoy a secure, customizable, and privacy-respecting computing experience. Linux's open-source nature ensures transparency, allowing users to scrutinize the code and ensure that their data and activities remain protected from prying eyes. Moreover, the abundance of free and open-source software available for Linux empowers users to make informed choices without being locked into proprietary ecosystems.
By embracing this powerful operating system and the principles of open-source software, Americans can reclaim their privacy, security, and autonomy.

PSA: I guess I’m not a part of any “movement,” just a guy educating Americans about FOSS, Linux, and Data Removal 🤣
So if my actions seem not to conform to the rules of the “movement,” they will certainly lead you to a much better place in your digital world. ☺️

(checks passport) definitely a U.S. citizen 🤣
(checks birth certificate) definitely born in California, not Hawaii, not Kenya 😆
(checks business status) possibly not in line with the “movement”
Oh well. Two out of three…. 🤷♂️

Frens, when we first started the Jeff.pro channel, in 2021 Linux wasn’t even being discussed on “Freedom” based Telegram channels.
Almost no technology was being discussed at all.
Since then, tons of cool stuff has been brought to the attention of those who were interested to listen and learn, by the Jeff.pro channel.
It’s done more good than harm, that’s for sure.
Every once and a while, some frustrated frens pass by the channel and sling some mean words, that “Linux won’t fix privacy,” that we’re “Apple haters,” that this or that “isn’t so” …
Who knows why they do that. I think first impressions matter a lot, so many of our frens are having a difficult time these days because of the state our country is in, it’s unrealistic to expect everyone to always be happy as they pass on through … sometimes they show up doubting and cynical and just throw some mean words our way but most are actually very kind, true salt-of-the-earth people, by a large margin. Yes, some people have bad days…
Don’t let it discourage you though …
We’ve been teaching people about Linux for a long time now. There’s so many good outcomes, it’s really the most positive effort I’ve ever been a part of, percentage-wise. No joke, - at LEAST - 8 out of 10 people who have learned Linux with us end up with a good outcome, I bet it’s 9 out of 10, it’s a very high number and that speaks volumes over time (soon to be 3 years!).

For those who ask, or are new to the channel, I tend to write about a mix of technology with some politics and reflection on the world in general.
The channel is run by more than one person—some days it’s somewhat programatic about technology with posts programmed by channel admins, other days I write articles myself from life’s experiences and thoughts about the direction the country is headed in, and so forth.
There are two educational programs running on this channel: One of them teaches about tech alternatives, Free and Open Source Linux that will change your way of viewing many of the problems facing people who are locked in to “big tech” platforms and see no way out. More extensive than you think, not gimmicky, takes some time to learn. Very high success rate, despite what is often initial skepticism.
Second, there is a newer program that teaches people how to remove their data from places where it is listed publicly on the internet. A lot of discussion about identity theft, learning to be defensive against ways technology is being used against us. This educational course is being developed at the moment in to a technology product that will be available to all, soon.
All of this draws from 40+ years experience working with tech and helping a good number of people learn things that helped them a lot, throughout those years.
