Apple has removed the WhatsApp messenger and the Threads social network from its App Store in China at the request of the Chinese authorities, the Wall Street Journal writes.
The Signal, Telegram and Line applications were also removed.
Apple stated that they are obliged to comply with the laws of the countries in which they operate, even if they disagree with them.

End of an era: One of the most used, arguably best designed microprocessors in history, the Zilog Z80, reached its end of production last week.
It was first released in 1976, when the Z80 was a cutting edge processor for the best computers. As a kid I grew up programming Z80’s on Kaypro (Assembly, Pascal) and Cromemco computers in the early 1980’s. There’s a whole generation of us who did!
In more recent years, the Z-80 was still manufactured, sold for about $5 apiece. It was known as one of the most full-featured microprocessors to ever power embedded systems in clock radios, microwave ovens, vending machines, etc.
Long live the Z80!

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the precious gift of Your Word, which nourishes our souls. Your truth shines brilliantly, guiding our path and filling us with divine wisdom and peace.
Thank You for Your presence in our most challenging moments, offering solace, strength, and understanding when we are in need.
On this day, we humbly ask that Your justice and mercy be extended to those who have been wrongfully treated or falsely accused by the corrupt legal systems of this broken world.
As we set out on a new week, we pray for Your strength and guidance to lift us up and empower us. May Your Holy Spirit be our constant companion, enabling us to walk in Your ways and live according to Your will. Grant us the sensitivity to discern the Spirit's leading and the courage to follow wherever it guides us.
Above all, we praise Your One and Only Begotten Son, through whom Your incredible love was made known. His ultimate sacrifice on the cross paved the way for our redemption, opening wide the gates of everlasting life to all who place their faith in Him.
In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
