A new version of LibreOffice was released a few weeks ago.
A perfect replacement for the Microsoft Office suite on your computers—no telemetry, no “artificial intelligence,” just a solid Word Processor that doesn’t spy on you with Spreadsheet and Presentation tools that work the way they’re supposed to. And it’s free! Works on any PC, Mac, or Linux computer.
Ditch Microsoft Office today! LibreOffice is fully compatible with Microsoft Office file format, can open, read, and save files in the exact same formats, exchange them with your friends who are still on Microsoft, they won’t know the difference!
An old MacBook Pro or PC laptop, Linux Mint, LibreOffice - Awesome combination!

Yesterday, the Jeff.pro channel had a poll about the meaning of Microsoft’s monthly “patch Tuesday” updates.
Why this matters to you is more crucial than many people realize.
You see, Microsoft Windows, the computer Operating System many people trust with access to all of their computer’s data, is so unstable and full of bugs, that Microsoft sets aside a day every month to try to patch all of the security holes and flaws in it.
But this work is – apparently – never done.
Meaning, it’s never completely fixed. There’s another “patch Tuesday” every month, in a never-ending cycle of “Windows Updates” that try to cover up security vunerabilities with no end in sight.
This month’s Microsoft “patch Tuesday” attempted to fix 150!!! security flaws.
That’s right, 150 security problems in Microsoft Windows, and sixty-seven remote code execution bugs, ONLY SINCE LAST MONTH!!
The problems identified with Windows this month were, roughly:
31 Elevation of Privilege Vulnerabilities
29 Security Feature Bypass Vulnerabilities
67 Remote Code Execution Vulnerabilities
13 Information Disclosure Vulnerabilities
7 Denial of Service Vulnerabilities
3 Spoofing Vulnerabilities
It’s ridiculous. And we’re supposed to trust all of our personal information, data, digital banking, to Microsoft Windows?
People say, “I’m not switching to Linux, because I’m not tech savvy.”
If the front entrance to your house was broken, would you leave it wide open 24/7 and say you’re not going to fix it, because you’re not sure how to hang a door? 🤣
Frens. This is serious stuff. Ridiculously out of control. Especially now with the mandatory artificial intelligence integration in Windows that gives Microsoft access to analyze everything on your entire computer. The time to fire Bill Gates, and switch your computers from Windows to Linux, is now!

The Dutch organization, Massaschade & Consument, sued Google for privacy violations, citing a study revealing data collection without user consent. Researchers intercepted and analyzed traffic from Android devices on a Dutch server. Google's app, Google Play Services, gathers extensive user data, including orders, favorite places, call details, and location via GPS and Wi-Fi.

If you’re one of the several hundred learners in the Linux for Beginners class run by this channel, your invitations for tomorrow’s Weekend Linux Workshop are being sent out to your e-mail now!
This week, we look at using your new Linux Operating System for practical web surfing on your computer: The safest, and best configuration you can possibly use in these dystopian times! Where do downloaded files go on your Linux computer? How do you "decompress" your downloaded files? What programs can you download and execute? And how does this idea of being able to download Windows software to a Linux computer, and run it in a secure container on your Linux desktop, really work?
Learning about the parallel technology world of Free and Open Source Software is a decision to take back control of your personal information, data and ultimately your Digital Freedom. We welcome you to the Linux for Beginners class and a new chapter of your digital life. You will like it! While everyone else is being abused by "big tech" with no end in sight, it's time for you to get used to winning in your technology world!
See you online tomorrow @ 5:00pm Eastern!

Now this is truly rare, a D&A Warrior 1kw (1,000 watts!) tube amp for CB radios.
Won’t mean much for those who were never in to CB’s, but for those who are … what a sight!
Use a Ham radio antenna tuner to match impedance at low power then crank it up!
You could drive 700-900 watts output from a 1 or 2 watt radio with one of these. 🤯
Experimental of course for authorized 10 meter bands, not for use where not permitted! 🤩

Ok frens, no joke … found this monster clock radio, first made by GE in 1979, that was called “the Great Awakening” 🤯🤣
It says so in this old magazine ad (enlarge the text and you can see!)
And someone actually wrote an article about it: https://www.thebulwark.com/p/the-clock-radio-and-its-moment-in-consumer-technology
Just to set the record clear once and for all that Jeff.pro truly finds unique stuff you won’t see on any other channel 😂 😂

Good article about Mozilla’s co-founder, Brendan Eich, one of the first “tech figures” to be cancelled by the woke mob about 10 years ago, because he dared to oppose same-sex marriage in California.
This article is being shared by major tech personalities on social media today. It seems to be a recognition that the “woke mob” has caused a lot of unnecessary damage.
“I was working in New York's “Silicon Alley” when it happened, and I immediately recognized it as a major escalation in the culture war. It was a warning that the Leviathan of technocracy did not care how well I did, how hard I worked, or how well I treated others. Ideological conformity to the top-down, programmatic transformation of the country that was rapidly taking place was all that mattered. If I was unwilling to affirm the current thing dictated according to the whims of “progress,” I was an enemy of humanity and an enemy of America. And my beliefs, no matter how ancient, innocent, and valid, must bow to the will of Leviathan, or the digital swarm would descend upon me.”
