Good morning frens,

For a long time, Jeff.pro has been helping educate Americans with simple courses on our Learning Management System … (LMS).

One of the features on the LMS software is for people who are enrolled in the same course to send each other messages. This was left enabled because sometimes there would be discussions about Linux, class members would help each other out, etc.

Unfortunately some people started “broadcasting” their tech support questions to the entire enrolled class, causing everyone in the class to receive an email notifying them that they had a message on the LMS, then they’d log-in, and see it was someone else’s question directed at Jeff.pro staff…not them..a distraction and resulting in the time lost to go check a message and see it had nothing to do with you.

Now, be aware no one’s email address was available through this process. If you got one of these notifications, it was because someone sent a message to “all” through the LMS and it was relayed to you.

After realizing this was annoying people…we disabled the LMS messaging feature today, once and for all. Probably the right thing to do to avoid any further distractions of message notifications having nothing to do with you. So, if anyone needs a support question answered, just email us at support@jeff.pro!
