In place of a voice call tonight, here's a recent video interview, where I was interviewed about how you can take back your Digital Freedom from the "big tech" overlords, by the wonderful Tamara Leigh and Brent Hamachek. Watch and learn, friends. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‘Œhttps://rumble.com/vma8o9-jeffrey-peterson-2-on-tamara-leighs-trend-on-with-brent-hamacheck.html

Just wanted to share. This is my Manjaro Linux with a heavily modified KDE desktop environment. Focused on functionality first and aesthetics second. I have all the advantages of the KDE taskbar and an OSX like dock. You might see some familiar programs in the dock. Have been in the Linux family of users from like eight years now and will never go back.
People, Linux is free! Some of you are posting messages asking, "what do I have to 'fork over' to convert to Linux" and so forth...that is the beauty of the FOSS ecosystem we have been teaching you about over the past few weeks. FOSS means Free and Open Source Software The Linux Operating System (O.S.) is a Open Source Operating System empowering your computer (and, increasingly, some cellphones), to do everything your Microsoft Windows, or MacOS-Operating System machine does, without the spying and abuses of "big tech." Because Linux is opensource, it is transparent. That is why we keep saying, Linux is Digital Freedom. That is true.

One of the big benefits, but not the biggest benefit, of learning about Linux and opensource is that it is a free software ecosystem. When you learn it, you will no longer pay Windows or MS Office licensing fees to Microsoft. For many people, the money you save will be at least several hundred dollars per year that you no longer have to pay to the evil tech empire. For some people, especially if you run a business, the savings will be in to the thousands of dollars per year. But that is not the biggest benefit. The main benefit of learning Linux and opensource is to PUT AN END TO BIG TECH'S CONTROL OVER YOUR DIGITAL WORLD. Yes, if you journey to the world of Linux you will save money and learn new skills. More important, however, is that you will be on a new path to take back your Digital Freedom, and that Freedom is priceless.

Responding to your many questions, we are not selling computers. We are not selling software. We are teaching you how to learn about Free and Open Source Software and Linux, a whole new world for many of you. You don't have to 'fork over' anything to make the move to Linux, it's a question of learning new skills. Today we will make available a free blog and newsletter, and a low priced premium course for those of you asking for it. Many people have asked for it. Ours is not the only one you can get. We will continue to point out all the ways and places you can learn Linux for free, on your own, over time. Thank you!!

Jeff, you and your team are AMAZING. Thanks so much for giving us your time and knowledge. I'm loading Linux onto my 2006 laptop tomorrow, can't wait to get started! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έβ™₯οΈπŸ™
Yesterday, with incredible kindness, more than a thousand of you voted to hire me, to help teach you the technology secrets of the "other side," and to set you free from "big tech."

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for hiring me. Tomorrow I will assume a new professional identity here, and across social media. My first job as your technology consultant, will be to help the 60 to 70% of you who are using his Operating System on your laptops, to fire Bill Gates, and Windows.

For those who don't think they're technical enough to switch to linux: There can be a learning curve, but be patient. I got my mother to switch and after about a week it was no big deal. We also took a computer that was sluggish at the store to one that was the fastest she's ever used once it had Linux πŸ‘
Friends, what do you think? Are you ready to get a movement away from "big tech" dominance of technology started together? One that really makes a difference for everyone and everything we love?

I just want to share my motivation and why I joined this group here with you all. I've been looking at technology with big dreamy eyes since I was a child. Wanted to have every new gadget and play around with it for days. But that joy turned into sadness as I've started understanding the way things work.
We are collectively funding colleges and universities to advance our society. And we have produced lots of smart brains over the decades / centuries. But the way it is now is that these smart people are recruited into a private company alongside with the intellectual property and the progress we as a collective produced gets privatized and sold back to us. Not only that but they even reserve the rights to use that technology to spy, manipulate and influence us.
But even with this being the case we have millions of people contributing to open source software for no payment whatsoever so we can own that technology that we as a society have created. While big tech was selling it back to us, these people have created tons of really well done solutions where the only barrier to cross is us knowing about it and learning how to use them.
It really makes me happy to see so many non tech-savy people here interested in these solutions and seeing that we have to take technology back into our hands.
