I knew change was needed, though it took time for my thoughts to distill to complete clarity. For a very long time, even long before I, myself, broke away from the “establishment” technology mentality, that there would be a break-up between the “big tech” “deep state” computing complex and everyday Americans. And by extension, many people in other countries, too. It is inevitable.

The dystopian “feature creep” - facial recognition, surveillance, and now built-in, mandatory artificial intelligence with access to everything we do on our computers...assumes we're too dumb to take action. With the realities surfacing of the forces of evil trying to hijack our entire country, our way of life, everything we believe in, now is a time when that inevitable break-up between Americans and “big tech” will start to occur. It is not the end of "big tech". It is the start of significant changes.

A slow change at first, and then many start to realize: “I can't believe what I was allowing to happen in my digital life before I woke up.” "I can't believe I blindly trusted them." "I can't believe I didn't even care or think about it."

The sovereignty of our data, free from interference and unwanted spying, the seperation, segregation, ownership and control of digital property and rights, the dividing line between humans and machines, full stop, is a bigger issue than many first realize.

CNIX is cool. I ran a demo on a Lenova X140e laptop and it performed nicely. It eve picked up my printer automatically. I like it and will watch its development. For now I really like Zorin on my Macbook Air. Congrats.

The live CNIX OS runs well on my 2012 MacBook Pro. It picked up the Broadcom network modules for ethernet and wifi. I'll do a full install and customize the XFCE environment to how I like it. XFCE is my Desktop Environment of choice (I've been using it for years).

CNIX nstalled on a Lenovo Flex 15 from my Ventoy USB stick smoothly.
Everything running well including touchscreen. Discovered neofetch was already installed. Got the Discover Software running on wifi. Will test further with printer, scanner and the LibreOffice suite.
Really nice installer. It saw the existing Mint Cinnamon install and happily shrunk that partition to make room for CNIX. Boots right into CNIX or I can boot to Mint if I bring up grub with F12 (on Lenovo). The first start I was offered to login with "user" (I forgot that was the default user.) and it wouldn't take my user/password. I restarted and logged in perfectly.
Im back on my QEMU-KVM CNIX posting to this chat from the Telegram Desktop. Awesome work JEFF.PRO and gang!

As it turns out, considering our Freedoms, our individual rights, and the way our country works...decentralization is a good idea, and centralized control is often a bad idea.

The American founding fathers got it right. They wanted to avoid the possibility of a powerful central authority that could potentially become tyrannical, as they had experienced under British rule. So they created a decentralized system of government where power was distributed among individual states.

Yes, the federal government is messed up. We're working on addressing that. Yet, the point here is that centralized control is often a bad idea as it relates to Freedom.

Centralized control is certainly a bad idea when it comes to technology. The idea of centralized control over the mass population paired with surveillance and artificial intelligence is a communist’s dream, the implications are so awful we’d prefer to not even imagine it possible.

But it is, and it’s arguably furthered in modern day by way of “big tech” dominance over individuals, in all of the ways that happens. About two and a half years ago, the Jeff.pro group was launched to speak to these very issues.

Alternative solutions are indeed available, as you’ve learned from Jeff.pro, with Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS) and Linux being the foremost options in the modern landscape at the moment. Yet awareness must increase and technologies must continue to evolve in ways that honor the people-driven, decentralized nature of FOSS, separate from systems built to gain centralized control over populations.

As we witness an inevitable shift away from the dominance of "big tech," we can expect the emergence of other FOSS kernels beyond Linux, some which may be innovated by groups like this one. The increasing incorporation of mandatory artificial intelligence within Operating Systems has amplified the demand for alternatives like never before and will continue to do so. Soon enough, the talk of the day will be about “people vs. Machines,” in almost every aspect of life. Which side will you be on? If your answer is, “I don’t know,” it’s worth considering. This is an imminent reality in modern day.

As many of you know, I've spent a lifetime immersed in the world of technology. Now, at this stage of life, I feel called to use my technical knowledge to serve God and spread His Word while helping my country in ways it is needed most.

There are few public voices today speaking to the vital need for decentralizing technology and returning it into the hands of ordinary Americans away from “big tech.” And at the dawn of Artificial Intelligence, a topic I’ve studied since I was a kid, I'm unaware of anyone advocating for both revitalizing people-driven technological innovation in ways that are not evil, and renewing Christian values in our society. There may be, but there should be more. It is crucial for this time in history.

Through the past few years, if you've followed the lessons of this channel, you’ve learned that the reason why people-driven software like FOSS isn’t more popular is because it’s never had marketing. There’s been limited personalities out there to promote the importance of reinvigorating innovation through people driven software. Richard Stallman is great, his contributions too numerous to possibly describe in a short paragraph, but his reach has been limited.

From here forward, I will do what I can to assist in the effort of promoting a shift away from “big tech”, on a larger scale. I will be taking an Operating System distribution to market, while constantly improving it over time, and evangelizing the importance of a decentralized technological revolution in North America by getting back to the basics and raising awareness of the importance of taking a hands-on approach to our individual digital sovereignty. Even a small, consistently maintained Linux distribution will develop a following of 50k to 100k users after a year, we should be able to exceed that by a good amount while promoting unique messaging that is needed.

All of this I will pursue while walking a thoughtful Christian path. My faith will guide me in developing technology that empowers individuals without forfeiting ethical values. I will promote all kinds of people-driven software, not just my own, with the goal of untangling the web of tyrannical big tech, helping the technology landscape in our country the way it is needed the most.

This Telegram group has been instrumental in catalyzing the early stages of my new path. You all have provided motivation, wisdom and resources that have set me off on what I promise to you is an important journey. As I now embark on the next chapter, I welcome you to join me going forward! Your continued insight and support will be invaluable as we work to enact positive change together.

Friends, it's been a productive two years. The Jeff.pro Linux User Group is making a difference, the results are in to prove it.

In order to keep moving forward, today we are starting our end of year fundraiser with a goal of reaching $10k by the new year. That goal should be met in the next few weeks.

The jeff.pro subscriber base is strong yet we are going to reach out in to new avenues in 2024 to spread our important messaging on a greater level. Help us get there with your donation today. And if you've been "on the fence" about learning ways to distance yourself from 'big tech', now is a great time to sign up for unlimited classes in the new year, as they always fill up ... join our fundraiser, get yourself a membership to be sure you have a reserved spot all year.

Tech evolution is moving fast. Help us continue our crucial work to build offramps from dystopian tech for Americans and chart our digital path for the future, help us work to educate more Patriots than ever before in 2024.

Friends, is it our imagination, or is the level of "red-pilling" out there significantly higher than in the past few years?

It's easy for us to say there's still way too many people "asleep" to the truths of the world. Yet, something feels a little different recently.

There's some hints that change is in the air.

What do you think?

The Digital World is changing.

If we sit back and do nothing, and let the "feature creep" of mandatory artificial intelligence, whole-system surveillance, and cloud computing take over our computers, we're walking right in to their plans for us.

There's a better way. Learn how to unplug your computers from their increasingly dystopian systems and take back control of your Digital life with FOSS and Linux. Start your Linux journey on the Jeff.pro forums -> forums.jeff.pro

Some people wrote in to ask about a fundraising email we sent out today regarding "lawfare" and attacks threatening the existence of Jeff.pro.

That's true, I believe many of us who walked away from old Democrat political connections have suffered the same. They just lie, and lie, and lie, to try to destroy you through the legal system. Incredibly vindictive people. I've heard conservatives call these types "jackals" and I think it's an accurate word to describe them. Somehow, in my case, their lies are finally being exposed in court, I'm very thankful for that. Not everyone is as lucky.

Great news about my (our) story, though, it's gotten much better over the years, at one point it was up to five or more "lawfare" lawsuits at the same time, in three states, with the former liberal Democrats I used to know, who came after me when I broke off from them, years ago. Haven't talked about it much publicly because I prefer to focus on the positive.

Now it's down to only one lawsuit that is left over. The truth is coming out more all the time about that remaining "lawfare", and it's not bad for me. It's bad for them, rightfully so. It's taken a long time to get to that point, however.

As for our Software Freedom initiatives, it's all moving in the right direction and seems like we will be able to reach a whole new audience, to continue growing the movement in a meaningful way, from here on. Have been working towards that for a long time.

So, I'm really encouraged. By the way, things would never have gotten this far if it were not for all the wonderful supporters of this channel.

A whole bunch of amazing new friends. I am truly blessed to know all of you.

I’ve read over six hundred posts this morning since opening my eyes, stopping on occasion to read the saucy stuff, too.

One of the reasons I like to take in a boatload of info in a short time is because it’s like seeing all the frames on a film reel at a pace that makes it look like a movie.

This morning the movie was much the same as yesterday. We continue to trend positive.

The truth is being exposed while the narratives are beaten down before they can spread.

I know this post may seem repetitive, but it was not so long ago that the truth was hidden, the narratives were working and the voices of reason were virtually silent.

So much has changed for the better, yet much like when we put a fresh coat of paint on a wall and nearly instantly forget what the wall looked like before, it is so very easy to think that what we see now has always been normal.

We are far along the path of winning the information war and we are always moving in the right direction.

Stay comfy.
