I almost feel that way some days, when technology starts starts getting overwhelming and we see our kids getting addicted to their technology, I almost want them to grow up when I did, no digital monitoring, tracking, cheap gimmicky apps that drain your time. But obviously, as pointed out, that isn't practical and we need to be part of a solution, grow technology in the direction you want it to go. I've been a Linux user since Knoppix and Ubuntu around 2005, currently have my kids on old laptops running MX Linux playing with compiz fishtank cube desktop, I tell them to go break stuff in Linux, and then fix it; my one creative one I gave Blender and told them to create something, learn something useful while playing on a computer and it's brilliant! All technology has a good and bad side, all depends how it's used, so many great options when the masses tell us to follow the crowd with the same boring things. Windows or Apple? No thanks, give me something fun, private, and secure!

Since posting a picture of the new Argentinian President, Javier Milei, some people have been writing in today to say I'm wrong to be optimistic about the guy.

"He's a WEF plant", people say. Well. Maybe. Who don't we say that about these days, honestly.

I could write a bunch of stuff about why I think Milei is not fake, but instead, I will share with you the following truth.

When I built the first English/Spanish Social Network in the U.S., I spent fifteen years working on topics related to Latin America. Learned all about it. All the countries. Political figures. Histories. Economies. You name it. More than any white guy from SoCal would ever imagine. Served on Boards, consulted to political leaders, did regular interviews on major financial media, learned as much as you can possibly learn about Latin countries.

So as I'm more skeptical than anyone about LatAm I've been watching Milei for a long time. That's how I arrived at my present opinion about him. He cares an awful lot about lifting people's spirits up and giving them real hope. He is no "empty suit" of a controlled robot like you-know-who.

Look at this short video. Don't just glance at it. Look at it carefully. Look at the facial expressions. Then you tell me. Is it all b.s.? Maybe it is. He pushed me past the point of my better judgement, he won my heart with how much he cares about people.

Truth is, we won't know about him until he's been in office for a while.

My instincts tell me he's ok. I don't know everything, not even close. All I know is, following what I feel, sincere in my heart, in this lifetime, led me to the discovery of the most important truths, and accomplishments I've ever been able to achieve. So you can keep your fear, for now, I'm going to try a little bit of faith and optimism for a change. 🤷‍♂️

👆👆 You know why that kid's crying? He needs hope. You think we have it rough in North America. Latin America has been going through the same stuff, in Argentina as well, with a completely socialist gov't, which Milei just defeated.

Would you be happier if the socialists had won?

That kid is crying, tears are streaming down his face, because Milei has given him the first real hope he's felt, probably in his entire life.

Kids aren't dumb. They understand so much.

Who among us hasn't felt down and needed someone strong to lift us up?

Those are the tears you see Milei bringing to his voters. Tears of joy.

You see, there was a time when I thought none of this mattered.

There was a time when I thought it was all random and the only thing that mattered in the world was simple, methodical, raw mercenary strength on the business battlefield.

It was my time in Latin America that taught me how wrong I was about everything.

That's where I truly found the God of Hope, and started to have the first real widsom I ever did.

It's an amazing story, so amazing you probably wouldn't even believe it, I've wanted my story to be analyzed and investigated for quite a while and many here seem quite good at that so maybe I'll tell my story and ask you what you think about it, sometime soon.

But yes, my journey through Latin America was life altering, full of life's lessons and unexpected miracles. So many lessons learned.

Where people are truly in tragedy ... especially kids, families, the truly ill, the weak ... we find God's love.

I know that for a fact.
