Some people say that technology isn't meant to be intertwined with real life--that it's a "different" part of our life here on earth than everything else. Maybe that's true. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Yet, even simple technology can be used to express sentiments as a part of our everyday life.

A carefully placed lamp can illuminate a vase of flowers left for a loved one to find, when they return home late from work. Such a gesture wouldn't have been possible, 200 years ago. Not too long ago, in the big picture.

These days, we can digitize our partner's favorite song and send it to them as a .mp3 file. This wasn't possible even a recently as 30 years ago. Now that it is, we have a new way to put a smile on their face.

So. While there's great arguments about the place technology should have in our lives, it is a part of our lives, it's up to us to determine how it will be used--in ways that harm humanity, or in ways that help us.

Today I will address something that's needed to be said since this channel first launched.

To those who believe the way to save the United States is to "end all technology", "move to the hills", and become a nation of techno-hermits, I'm not sure how to answer that. It is something that surfaces from time to time with a small percentage of the audience on Telegram and other "conservative social media."

Have never been sure if these people are real, if that's what they truly believe is the right course for our nation, or if they're some kind of "plants" meant to stir up conflict or otherwise surpress progress among the handful of us who advocate for independent, non-big-tech alternatives.

I will echo Don Bongino who recently addressed his audience with a message that it is more in line with the ethics of the truth movement to take a stand on what we believe in and authentically be ourselves, than to try to please everyone, all the time with generic messaging. After two years of promoting non-big-tech alternatives, my beliefs have been made clear, and I will firmly stand by them as the right course for the future.

If you disagree, if you're of the belief that the way to solve the problems the U.S. is facing is to "end all use of technology," I respect your point of view, and will add that respectfully, it's probably not going to happen. And can you imagine if it did? The rest of the would would continue innovating, leaving the U.S. in the dust. How would that help things? We've learned over time that when faced with this response, the doomers send messages like, "it doesn't matter, it's already too late." That kind of attitude doesn't help things, either.

What can be done is influence the path innovation takes in the future. Linux is a great example. It was an independent movement started by two people that grew in to hundreds of thousands of developers, hundreds of millions of end users and today runs more or less the entire server-side of the internet. Microsoft tried to capture that side of the market, and failed. They wish they had it, but they don't. After 30 years, the proof is there for everyone to see. 97% of the server side of the internet, the world's web servers and online infrastructure, runs on Open Source Linux.

And it was built by people, not big corporations. An uplifting example of what's possible in a truly David v. Goliath scenario.

The use of Microsoft Windows is already on the decline. It has been for a while. Publicly available statistics are telling a compelling story. The world is changing. Not only in the technology sector. It is changing all around us. Whether it's the news media, biotechnology, or computer technology, more people are interested in finding the truth--the right way forward--than ever before.

Yes, plenty are still asleep. All of us here know that. But that is not us. Most of us here are fighting for truth in every aspect of our lives, for the future of our country and by extension the world, and it's a beautiful thing.

And just for the record, Jeff.pro does support suspending the use of technology (machines) for voting, for now. That is something that also comes up and it needs to be made clear.

Sometime in the future, someone needs to come up with a better way to do voting. A conversation for another day. For now, hands down, paper ballots. πŸ’―

Thoughtful today about all of the great Veterans who have served our nation.

I am thinking of my hero, my own Dad who served as a sonarman in the United States Navy on the USS Voge during the time of the Vietnam war.

There are many veterans here in our Jeff.pro family. To all of you, and all veterans, thank you for your service. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we stand in awe of Your intricate creations, each thread woven with divine precision. Every sunrise and starlight, every whispering wind and roaring ocean, proclaims Your unmatched creativity and power. Your creative genius is on display everywhere.

We humbly acknowledge our transgressions, recognizing our need for Your transformative grace. Cleanse us, O God, to create within us hearts that mirror Your own, hearts that beat with passion for Your commands.

As we journey into a new week, we yearn for the rejuvenating power of Your Spirit, the same Spirit that breathed life into the first man, and that raised Christ from the grave. Empower us to walk in the good works You've orchestrated, for we are Your workmanship, designed for Your purpose.

As our hearts overflow with gratitude, we celebrate the ultimate expression of Your love: the incarnation of Your Son. As Christ lived among us, shared in our sufferings, and became the atoning sacrifice for our sins, let His example guide our steps. Commission us anew to live for You and serve You with unreserved devotion.

We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, offering our thanks in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

I almost feel that way some days, when technology starts starts getting overwhelming and we see our kids getting addicted to their technology, I almost want them to grow up when I did, no digital monitoring, tracking, cheap gimmicky apps that drain your time. But obviously, as pointed out, that isn't practical and we need to be part of a solution, grow technology in the direction you want it to go. I've been a Linux user since Knoppix and Ubuntu around 2005, currently have my kids on old laptops running MX Linux playing with compiz fishtank cube desktop, I tell them to go break stuff in Linux, and then fix it; my one creative one I gave Blender and told them to create something, learn something useful while playing on a computer and it's brilliant! All technology has a good and bad side, all depends how it's used, so many great options when the masses tell us to follow the crowd with the same boring things. Windows or Apple? No thanks, give me something fun, private, and secure!
