A list of basic commands for the Linux command line.
Newer Linux users will be happy to know that they still don't need to know these, virtually everything can be done in a "point-and-click" way with folders and menus on the desktop, just like you did in your "big-tech" Operating System.
However when the time is right, learning the Linux command line will give you more control over your computer than you ever had when you were still using "big tech."

Wow โฆโฆ I just got off the phone โฆ. A nice Lady on the east coast just let me know that she received my copy of a โsigned bookโ โฆโฆ Her and her Husband took it upon themselves to ship it on to me at their expense and report the mishap back to the originating shipperโฆ.. after talking a little about all that has happened lately I pointed her down the Linux path โฆ. and she said that she had been hearing about this channel from other sources โฆ.. she refused my offer of covering their shipping cost and said โpass it onโ โฆ.. so I told her to look up this post when they get to this channel โฆ.. my way of sending it back around โฆ.โค๏ธ

Feb 5, 2003. then-Secretary of State Colin Powell, holding up a tiny vial of white powder, which stood for what was supposed to be Saddam Hussein's "anthrax", to the "United Nations Security Council."
โMy colleagues, every statement I make today is backed up by sources, solid sources,โโ Powell told the Security Council. โWhat we are giving you are facts and conclusions based on solid intelligence.โ
Of course, as the country discovered painfully over the next several months, the super weapons allegedly possessed by Saddam were no more real than a desert mirage, and the โsolid intelligenceโ put forward by Powell that day turned out to be mostly conjecture and supposition. The "weapons of mass destruction" turned out not to be there, but a hundred and sixty-five thousand American troops already were, and the catastrophic occupation of Iraq that followed brought to an ignominious end a singular moment of American global dominance and prestige.
We know, in fact, that [they were] under enormous pressure from the White House, where President Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney had seemingly already made up their minds about invading Iraq, to come up with a solid case to publicly justify the decision.
In other words, Powell was used. Bush, Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld, who was then the Secretary of Defense, cynically enlisted him and his enormous credibility to make the flimsy, and ultimately faulty, case for war.

There's a better way--learn about the parallel system of Free and Open Source Software and Linux, designed by individuals, not big corporations. It is a complete replacement for the "big tech" software monitoring everything you do on your computers.

Seth is a leader in this movement. A beacon of light and hope for those who have lost theirs. He never stops, and his passion for America is infectious - just as his smile and work ethic are.
Yet - like all of us, this giant of a man (literally and figuratively) is imperfect. Just like the rest of us.

Integrity matters. Especially in todayโs world.
