Apologies as our emailer went a little crazy and blasted out 3 or 4 copies of the same email this afternoon with a video recently posted to the new rumble channel, celebrating the 2-year anniversary of the Jeff.pro channel, with a testimonial and an important warning for Americans!

In case you didn’t see it, here’s a link to the video -> https://rumble.com/v36ovhu-jeff.pro-promo-learn-linux.html

Could it be that that’re planning a ton of censorship next year?

Ok, I just finished getting my CardDAV server set up here at home on my Synology DS220+. It was super easy to do.

So now I have my own contacts server (CardDAV), calendar server (CalDAV), my own email hosted on my own domain, linux desktop (mint), linux phone (Graphene OS), Linux laptop (Zorin), linux USB that I can launch from just about any computer (tails), local file storage in my home that I can access from anywhere (files, stream music, photos/videos) (on my Synology DS220+)
I have everything set up I need to be completely free from Microsoft, Google, and Apple in my home.

Next step is to turn my other windows desktop into a Linux server where I can put NextCloud (that will be a fun project) so that I can learn how to use that effectively.

If you want to get free from Big Tech, I can help. (Also, you can go where I learned! jeff.pro / https://t.me/jeffrey_peterson)
Big tech reads your data and spies on you. They manipulate you. They sell your data to others. Many big tech companies outwardly and blatantly support many wicked things. You are funding them by using their stuff.
It may seem daunting, but you can do it, a little at a time. Start small, get a Linux phone or laptop from mark37.com. (use promo code SoCalMitch for 10% off)
We must do it if we want to maintain our liberties! We must do it if we want to have a good future for our kids and grand kids.
I hope we get raptured out of here soon. But if we don't we need to be diligent to preserve things for our kids.
I am focused on helping to do that in this area (#BoycottBigTech) and with our elections.

Salt & light.
Salt is a preservative. If you aren't actively helping to preserve things, then you have lost your saltiness.
Salt that loses it's saltiness is good for nothing but to be trampled under foot by men.
Are you a follower of Christ?
Be salt.
Be light.
Use your gifts and abilities. Get off your butt. Do something! This hurting world needs us.

Leading up to our election, Google's search results showed ONLY negative coverage of our campaign

Dr. Robert Epstein says, "Without Google's interference in that election, it means that Kari Lake would have won by at least 3.4 % instead of "losing" by 0.6%"

We MUST put a stop to Big Tech's interference in our elections

What a busy week.

Congrats to the next generation of Jeff.pro Python programming students!

We had a super successful enrollment this week, class starts tomorrow.

Over the next five months, you will learn more than just how to use technology, you’ll learn how to build it — so that it works for the people, never against us.

If we look around, it’s clear to see, We the People are awakening more every day!

If you’re one of the several hundred learners in the Linux for Beginners class run by this channel, your invitations for tomorrow’s Weekend Linux Workshop are being sent out to your e-mail now!

This week, we revisit the topic of reviving old, cheap laptops and bringing them back to life!

With Linux, not only will you always have access to cheap computers for pennies on the dollar compared to other people, you'll never have to pay Microsoft license fees again. You'll have complete control over your technology, instead of being subjected to the constant surveillance and spyware like everyone whose computers are still trapped on the Bill Gates Operating System (Windows)!

And for our intermediate Linux users, we explore some useful commands you'd probably never heard of, but will dramatically increase your productivity!

In a complicated world, learn how easy it can be to take back complete control of your computers and achieve Digital Freedom, with Linux, a complete replacement for the "big tech" Microsoft Windows on your computers!

See you online tomorrow @ 5:00pm Eastern!

Packard-Bell was once one of the most popular PC brands in the USA.

If you know, you know. 👍

They were sold at many of the old department stores, like Sears, Montgomery Ward, etc.

These were great computers for many families. Nice memories!

You’re familiar with type AA, AAA, and 9-volt batteries.

But does anyone remember the vacuum tube era 45 volt B type battery?

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, there are times when the challenges of this world seem too great and our faith feels fragile. But we know that through You all things are possible.

Give us strength for this week’s journey, strength beyond what is natural or inherent in us. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit to empower and uplift us. Remind us that Your grace is sufficient, and that Your power is made perfect in our moments of weakness.

We also come to you now seeking Your forgiveness. We acknowledge our sins and the times we have fallen short of Your glory. Forgive us our sins, O Father God, wash us clean in the blood of Jesus. We pray that You remove the burden of guilt and shame that weighs us down.

Help us to rely fully on You and Your Word in our moments of struggle. To cast all our cares upon You, and find rest for our souls in Your perfect love. As Your arm upheld Your beautiful Son through His trials, so uphold and strengthen us now.

We ask this in the powerful name of He who overcame the world, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

So today I installed Linux Mint 21.2. I had to do a fresh install over the old version (which wipes it out). I was scared to do it because I didn't want to lose anything or mess anything up, and this was my first time doing this procedure.

I backed up my /home folder (as well as some other folders I didn't need). Previously, and for separate reasons, I had installed another hard drive and mounted my /home folder there. So my /home folder was not on the drive that Linux was installed on. This turned out to be a boon!!!

So, I got the USB ready with Mint 21.2 and did the install. That went off without a hitch. Then I remounted my extra hard drive to the /home folder (just an fstab entry). Then I reinstalled my apps like Thunderbird, Telegram, Brave, etc...
I thought I would have to set up the accounts on Telegram again, resync Brave, resync Telegram... But no! Because all of that info is somewhere in /home... And since I remounted my old /home folder, everything was just like it was beforehand. So easy.

Two years after launching, the original message on which the Jeff.pro channel was built remains the same: “big tech” Operating Systems turn your computers into a spying device, enabling surveillance of everything you do, siphoning your data daily.

They will tell you that you “agreed to it,” in your “user agreement.” Yet your Windows computer won’t work if you don’t click on “agree” in that user agreement.

Your “consent” was a complex contract buried behind pages of legal jargon. In reality, we never truly agreed to this foregone invasion of our digital lives—it was imposed through coercion coded into essential software we needed to use.

The solution is the Linux Operating System, a complete replacement for Microsoft Windows on your computers.

Open Source means we can see the source code, we know what’s in it—exactly what our computers are doing at all times. We will likely never know that about Windows.

For many people, going cold turkey by switching all of their technology overnight isn't realistic. Instead, learn Linux one week at a time, on a second cheap laptop. See for yourself why it matters, what a huge difference it is to have your own private environment where “big tech” can’t monitor your web browsing, your microphone and camera, and grab your files and keystrokes the way it does in Windows.

In time, even if you -have- to, you won’t -want- to use computers with Windows anymore, you will see them through a different lens, one of distrust and skepticism.

And distrust and skepticism is exactly the right way to view the Bill Gates Operating System and its effects on the world.

Two years in, this channel has successfully helped about 10,000 Americans move away from Windows.

And there is an awareness now among probably about ten times that many, who didn’t know before that an alternative exists, even though they may not yet been able to make the switch.

Small steps. One week at a time. That’s how we can keep making progress to move away from digital tyranny.

I have never posted on here before, but I want to thank you for encouraging me (and the rest of us) to abandon Microsoft. When I needed a new computer in January, I ordered a Linux machine and went cold turkey from Microsoft. I am not very computer savvy, but the transition was not as difficult as I thought it would be. Thank you for all your work and efforts. It is greatly appreciated.
